Who am i..

There will be lots of grammar issues and spelling in this, please ignore this as grammar and spelling are 2 things i'm NOT good at >:I

How do you know who you are? How am i supposed to find out who i am? Some people can go into high school and know what they want to do in college they know how to do what they do and they just know who they are. How am i supposed to figure out who i am and what i am?

Some youtuber's have things that they are known for like a minecraft video maker is known as "GenerikB" and he's known as the Hermit, and owns the server "Hermitcraft"

How does someone just decide thats what they are going to be known for? How does someone figure out and know something they are going to be called and for the community, get that he is the "Hermit" or whatever else other people go by? How do i figure out who i could be or what would suit me in one word, that could describe who i am.

I go by Crate on call of duty, but if that were to be some kind of name for me im not sure i could justify a reason to why i'm "Crate" or "Crate(something)" So how do you go about thinking of things you could "Re-name" yourself for "YouTube" so you could make videos to suit your username and who you are?

I see so many people just get into the work force and know what they want to do, and are living happy lives.

Me...I enjoy computers, i enjoy to draw, i'm creative, but when i go to lets say draw something i have an awesome idea for it ends up just failing and not looking how i wanted it to look.

EDIT: Along with the whole computer thing, i really want to do something in college that has to do with computers, but i just have no idea what to persue that i would enjoy.

Or if i was building in minecraft, I may have this amazing idea for a build, and start to put blocks down and realize that i have no idea what im going to build or even what i really doing.

I really want to know how to figure myself out so i can finally understand my purpose for being alive, for being on this earth.

I just want to know my purpose and have a reason to be here.

Please excuse the randomness of this post but i just was kind of typing as i thought about things.

EDIT: Another thing i'v noticed about myself is i take a lot of things very "Serious" and "Professionally" Like when i'm sending an email to someone that has to do with some sort of "Business aspect" to it, i'm able to sound very mature and professional and love the "Customer Support side of things" you could say.

 

This is a question man has been pondering for as long as time itself.
Believe it or not, you aren't the only one.

Not everyone is happy at the job they have. Work is work... it pays the bills. Sure it's a bonus if you are working a job you like. Also, not everyone really knows their purpose, they choose a path and follow it. It may lead you to a dead end but then follow another one.

You say you like something to do with computers, well, what's stopping you?
Webdesign, Graphics, Programing... are just a few things of many paths you can choose.

 

Webdesign/graphics, Programming were all things i was thinking of but i'v had NO experience with them at all, and would LOVE to do some kind of Graphic Design, or animation or something, but like i said i can be VERY artistic, but when it comes to writing it down persay, i have a ton of trouble :I

And then it just puts me down and i feel like there is nothing for me to choose. I do understand this is a fairly Universal thing to be going through, but i just need some help digging my feet into the ground.

 

That's normal. So you have trouble writing down your ideas, that's what schooling is for, to show you how to express your artistic skills fully.

EDIT:
There are courses for beginners, intermediate and master, which obviously range from no experience to a lot of experience. You just have to find the right one for you.

 

You just haven't experienced enough yet..

Go to college and do some game design, go to university, get a job with computers, decide it's not for you, get a completely different job, love it, go back to university, decide you liked computers more in the end...

You only have one life, why not do as many things as you can? Just try your hardest at whatever you do and you'll find something you love

 

"Something with computers" is generally good enough. Once you get into a half-decent college you can run through the introductory courses and really get an idea of what you want to do inside the field. Changing your mind in college isn't that big of a deal compared to after.

 

Search.

If you are lacking purpose in this world, look to family, friends and ultimately God.

Not everyone needs to be that guy that invented this, or the guy that's really good at that. Search, Find, Do what you love, And enjoy the little time on this Earth that God has given us. Consider what is after this life. Make up your mind and prepare for it.

If you are really having trouble with purpose, Live in the present. Forget about the future, let tomorrow worry about its own troubles and today worry about today's.

You'll figure it out kid, we all do. . .

You don't need to know yet. I didn't find out what I wanted to do until I was 19. I just tried a bit of everything until I was good at something and enjoyed it.

You aren't born knowing way you want to do. You just have to find out what you want to do.
