Plagiarism Rule

That sounds reasonable, since they have no real reason to conceal the fact that it was plagiarized but 3 days is a decent slap on the hand for lying about it.

 

I'm not even going to entertain this. It won't happen, for one. For two, it most certainly is not scamming. There is no universe or way you can claim that. It is simply and obviously wrong.

 

This is a cheating forum. We lack certain morals ^_^

 

It depends on what kind of message you wish to portray. Kids who are 13/12 don't really know or understand what it is but by the time you are 16/17 you definitely know what it is.

In a way Plagiarism is scamming because you are scamming an idea off of an author without paying for it. I also feel that it should be punished according to the severity of it.

Outright copy pasting then selling a guide that is free or not your own work should be the same as scamming, as you openly know you are taking someone else's work and profiting off it, similar to getting someone to train your (whatever) account for you then not paying them and reaping the rewards of the training.

Paraphrasing someone's material should be a lesser infraction like a 1 month forum ban from guide forums because lots of the younger audiences will not know that paraphrasing whole ideas like that is still plagiarism.

Well a simple section ban would work, but if the user is trying to sell the guide then i believe that warrants a ban, but if just trying to help others then no, i believe if the user is using vital sources then no.

 

If someone posts a guide that isn't theirs for free, the actual writer of the guide gets scammed. (If he was selling the guide).
