Iphone Question

I recently decided to upgrade from my Iphone 3 to an Iphone 5, and I've heard that basically with no service the Iphone 3 could be used as an Ipod Touch, and would have basically everything except it couldn't call?

 

If you just download music from itunes, it'll work just like an ipod.

 

Yes it can be. You can just dl music on your laptop/pc and transfer them onto the phone.

 

Correct, you can even DL music and apps if it's connected to wifi, just can't call.

You might be able to "call" with skype though, can't remember if it supports the iOS on a 3 though.
