    Lol well, honestly I cant lie and say I never though it would end any soon with the facebook chat and Skype.

    But I believe 2013 is just an estimation, it will probably last for longer. Just hope they dont close Hotmail

    They won't close Hotmail, really don't know why you would want to use Hotmail in the first place.

    What do you suggest as an alternative? I find hotmail extremely user friendly.

    I wonder what IM systems will replace MSN, I understand that Skype will (and currently is) get more popular but maybe some people who truly resent skype will go to other messengers, maybe aim?

    If they hadn't updated to MSN 2011, I'd have kept using it. I use eBuddy now for MSN. They forced upgrades upon us, it's no surprise they're giving up.

    I use Pidgin Instant Messenger, fucking cleanest IM client in the world and Open Source too, I believe.

    I wish they'd add Skype and maybe Steam, it would be sick. They did that with imo messenger for the phone.

    I still use 09, if you right click on the exe and click compatability - run for vista, it won't force the update on you.

    Because I have some quite important information in some of my Hotmail emails. However I mostly use Gmail for work/important stuff as it has move GBs so you can attach larger files

    I used MSN from the start, but the last few years everyone gradually stopped using it. Pretty sad to see it go actually, but I knew it was dying anyway.

    Skype is so much easier. Also another forum I use most people only use AIM, that could take MSN's place? I wish everyone just went to Skype though, it's so convenient.
