Best current items to merch?

Hi,
So I don`t really know where to put this so decided that this sub-forum might be the best place but anyway if you disagree then a mod can move it .

But what is currently a safe investment to invest my RSGP in?

I am looking for a sort of longterm merch or a short term merch but just need some money to be made .

What I was thinking was maybe Amulet of magics as they seem to be dropping a lot lately well the most in 6 months so maybe they will rise again shortly and I could make some fast cash on them?

There is no "safe" investment, runescapes been making some very weird moves lately. Merching isnt safe at all anyways tbh, its just like the stock market. At the end of the day you got your money in something that could crash out and could be left with a total loss.

However, when rare prices seem to be low it MAY be a good idea to buy them. I bought 2 santas last year for 75m, made a good nut on that investment. Rares in THEORY will always go up due to no more being introduced into the game, this is dependent on demand which jagex is contstantly fucking with doing all these stupid assed updates. This only applies to wearable rares, the market for non wearables is pretty sketchy.

 

Thanks well I have came up with an idea that maybe I could buy some santa hats in the summer when they are at their cheapest and then sell them in the winter? Would that work do you think?

 

I oddly got my santas at a great price last year right around this time, but the market was pretty weird in '11. They seem to be the rare thats appreciating in value the most atm, but keep in mind everyone buys in the summer to try and sell winter time (i think some hoarders massive dumping of santas is why i got mine cheap) so id look out doing that too late, i havent been too up to date with the prices lately i know you can check friendchat "pc 101" to get price checks its a great place for info on godwars items (dont remember if they do rares or not) they tell you the instant buys and near instant buys on most items.

Thats a quicker plan to make some money if the longer term merch isnt your cup of tea. With the crazy new items being released and stats changed so much GWD items prices have been fluctuating alot and leaving a good potential for profit. Last time i played i was buying bandos boots for 1m (took a while) and selling for 1.3

i currently own 2 easter eggs and a disk of returning. collectively theyve gone up 150m THIS WEEK. and no, i'm not exaggerating. If you want a safer investment with little potential to make a lot of money, buy wearables. If you want the chance to make some huge profit go with edibles.

a few years ago disks of returning reached 1b each, and theyre only 270m now. that illustrates the risk and reward associated with them. They could easily go back up to 1b in the next few months

 

the only real way to make $ merching is if you have a large ammount of $ to invest in the first place. I also find it best to choose several different items and merch them at the same time.

 

Where do you get all this money to start with though to buy the rares?

I am thinking about just using all the money I make to buy rares .
