10GP Al-Kharid Gate Days

Yeah, it was annoying! I would keep forgetting and would kill goblins are the gate just try to get some GP

 

Oh that brings back memories. Gotta love forgetting your cash and having to butcher some goblins. I was mostly on my skiller though so I had to turn around and bank at lumbridge. >.<

 

It was one of those annoying things but it isn't the same since they removed it.

LOOOL yeah! I remember selling that stuff in the general store and was like "Alllriiighhhhtt I am loaded". Funny times! Also the bronze armour sq shields and chainbody made me look like a boss

 

I remember my first full rune set after completing Dragon Slayer, shit I was boss. Square shield looks amazing and full rune was somewhat of an accomplishment back then for f2p.

 

Brings back the old memories right enough, I remember I started playing when I was like 11 or 12, back in 2005 or something, and back then, like 1k per law rune to teleport was extortionate for my low level, low-aged brain, so basically, I remember if you wanted to get from Lumbridge to Varrock, you simply walked up the east path, not run then rest, you actually "walked" - those were the bad/good old days =D

 

Added Info - Right at the very beginning I rememberon the bus to school everyone started tlaking about RS and how to do Cooks Assistant because it gave 800 cooking XP which was LOADS, (and these were like chavs too, basically the whole estate went through a 2-week phase of RS before realising it was uncool) - and I remember sitting on the general store menu trying to buy a pot of flour because I had no idea how to make it =D

 

God I miss those times
The gameplay was harder etc but more fun too.

 

I agree, i remember when i found out if you did that f2p quest you could go through the gate for free, i immediately set sail and completed it so i could brag to my friends that they let me pass for free. LOL

My earliest memories where probably casting air strike on level 1 ducks in Lumbridge, standing on the little bridge. How I miss them days.

Ahhh... I remember when I used to tan hides \ picking flax as my money making guide... Lol...... Was such a noob back then

 

I would kill cows for cowhides and bones and sell them to the general store nearby for the 10gp.

 

Ahh man, the days when I had to walk everywhere 'cause my mage was too low, I remember going on a marathon from Al Kharid bank all the way to Castle Wars, not realizing that I could buy a Dueling Ring.
