Cleaned yet happy :/

I remember losing 3.1b at dragon dyce, i know how you feel.. sorta i wasn't exactly relieved lol. I managed to sell the last 450m ish to my Irl friend got it in payments, but still nice to get to have gotten some cash out of it. Also it's just gambling karma i made that money from gambling so i was bound by nature to eventually lose it

 

Ahh...such a sentimental story. Mine might be even more so. Back in 2011 when the e-mail phish took a boom, I was one of the first few who received it. It said that I had received an infraction and not doubting it since there was no context of being phished by "[email protected]" I immediately clicked on it and typed in my login. Seconds later I tried logging into my account. "Your account is currently logged in..." I thought it had something to do with Runescape and their servers being down. I managed to log on later. I cried.

Losses: Green phat, mask set, 270M cash.
Douchebag raised my maxed pure's defense and prayer levels from 1 to 4 and 6 respectively.

Later that day after burning and ranting about shit I decided to try to find that guy. I wanted to kill him. Some how he managed to leave traces of his email in the email and I was able to get it. I sent him an email. He didn't reply back. 2 weeks later after "quitting rs" I realized that I no longer thought obsessively about the game. I was so relieved and I realized that I had suddenly a much more active social life. I emailed him again tell him this. He replied back: "You made me tear a bit and feel guilty about my actions. If you would like your gold back I am more than willing to return it." I didn't ask for it back. But here I am again back on Runescape, no longer the obssesive anti-social kid, but a new person. Merely playing Runescape occassionaly and casually.

 

That's rough man, and pretty much why I quit staking while I was ahead. You would've made a pretty penny off those three cash stacks but at least there's a lesson learned. Good luck with walking away if that's what you truly want to do. Recently I've been inactive from Sythe and Runescape because of modem problems.

Haven't been on since the thread was made and have no desire to do so. Deffinately will still log on from time to time to talk to people, but have no interest in playing the game so I'm satisfied I have quit.

I'v stopped playing since the EOC and i had to make myself stop buying gold so i stopped being able to make account builds so now i'm doing a fire cape service to fund a newbie skiller i made, but i don't play half as much as i used to.. the games dying off sadly.

 

i havent been cleaned yet. rs has been dying to me since they made construction a skill. Eoc destroyed max boxing my last string holding me on.

 

Used to stake alot when it came back. One of my luckiest day was when I started with 10-20m and ended up to 1.2b. When I made to 1.2b I was about to freak out as it was my first bill ever in RS. I was thinking about to buy my first phat but at the same time I saw a guy wantin to stake 1b. My addiction to gambling took me for my last stake which was clearly a mistake.. ofc lost it and that last 200m also after that.. Ive never been so close buyin my first phat than that day. Its so hard to stop staking when ur on a streak

 

Damn that sucks mate, I quit runescape like 5 months ago when I realized there were other things way more important than just a stupid game, this important thing was studying. RuneScape wouldn't get me anywhere, and you will end up understanding that.
