A majority of them are probably bots..

 

There is no need to go around calling people nerds for playing a video game, if its what people like then that is just fine by me. You only get one life in this world and if you do what makes you feel happy then carry on doing it. Of course try not to over do it but in moderate amounts of times then its fine.

 

93k people playing currently because powerbot got a partial fix recently. Most of their scripts are working atm.

 

New generation players and bots mostly. I just play private servers now. The only reason I still stick around is because I heard Jagex is going to implement two new skills. I'm curious myself as to what they may be so guess that's something to look forward to.

Go back to 2007 and see around 150k-200k players online... Nerd

And I guess, as other User's mentioned already, the majority are most likely bots, but another option would be people who really liked the new update etc.

It'll come to an end for you only. Trust me, this is how people thought back when Rs2 was introduced. Some stayed, others didn't.

The goal is to attract new players, and it's what they'll do.

I for one enjoy the EOC, it opens new windows of attacking, and it invokes skill into the game.
Just because it's not grinding based anymore (Which you can still use momentum for) doesn't mean it's not the game you used to like.
I guess you're one of those people who hate any new president because the change makes you unhappy, too.
