Well I'm not the one who makes the bot. RiD (as shown in the screenshots) is the sole owner & developer. He predicted MTA to be out in roughly a week (estimate) because, thanks to Evolution of Combat, Master Wands are like 20mil now, and it only takes ~15 hours to get all of the points to buy a master wand (as well as the other wands, as you must buy all the wands in a row for each master wand you buy), so the profits are very very nice.

He also predicted an estimated 2 weeks before a combat bot comes out (e.g. Pest Control).

I know he has something special planned for Agility (before, supported Barbarian agility & Ape Atoll, no advanced courses). I assume he might be thinking about adding advanced Gnome (and *possibly* normal gnome, as the area is essentially the same, so there wouldn't be much to change) & advanced Barbarian course, seeing as there are no more randoms to get in the way. All that is just speculation and I could be off, I have no hard evidence to suggest I could be right.

 

Is RiD still an awful color bot?

 

Not sure where the "awful" part comes in there...

Robotz in Disguise uses 3D vision & advanced color & texture recognition. The developer graduated from Uni with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Mathematics in the UK. It's been in existence for over 5 years, 2 years after he was interviewed by Jagex for his knowledge in graphics and programming, offered a second interview, and declined. That was around 7 years ago, he's easily one of the oldest Bot developers, and has a degree when most bot developers or scripters aren't even out of High school or Uni.

RiD just added the Pickpocket bot to the line-up, and released the Ivy Cutter outside of 2.0 beta



Many users are getting 48+ hour proggies with the Ivy Cutter, and using it now will deduct 1 credit per hour. The rest of the bots are still free!

Master Farmer
Thieving Guild Coshing Volunteer Blackjacking
Safe Cracking (currently broken, but may be fixed soon)

 

Yeah I saw that this morning when I logged on and saw RID had updated with the theiving bot, he is slowly but surely getting there. Any projected date when he will have them all updated?

 

Not 100% sure, but his goal is to have the new bot ready by Christmas. He wants to release all of the other bots before the new bot, so I would think it's a good assumption that he wants to have the rest out by the end of December.

But, as with all deadlines, things are subject to change!

Just got my 16th 99 with RiD, 15th on my main!

RiDiverse ran flawlessly. I managed a 26, then 21, then 32 hour run to get myself 99 Herblore! RiDiverse is running like a boss!

Well there is a free guide for how to minimize your bot (that is 100% legal and takes me 5 minutes to set up, new users like ~15). The picture I showed above is me running 2 bots at the same time on the same computer as I was typing my post.

As far as being the most consistent and reliable, that's debatable, depending on who you talk to, but for the most part it is very reliable and very consistent. Most of my bot runs I've had lately have been 8-24+ hours. I've been using RiD's Cooker that just came out on Christmas, and it's been flawless for me right now.

You also have the plus side of not worrying about it going down every time RS updates. The bots have a 99% up-time, so that's always nice. It's also immune to Bot Nukes (as they have existed so far). Generally major graphical updates (like the launch of EoC) take under 24 hours to update all the bots for. RiD has implemented automated bug submission software so that he can fix bots extremely quickly, and efficiently, with the goal of 24/7 proggies being capable.

When you open the bot, what does the Java version say? (before you log in to the bot), It should be in this format: Java Version: (1.X.X_X)

The only reason a bot will immediately log out after pressing start is if the user has set it up improperly, or are at an unsupported location.
