PayPal Reversal?

You can always get your money back therefor scamming anyone?

Well here's my story.....
I sold this guy some gp and it rounded up to about $80 and it was a successful trade. 2 days later he tried disputing and we had an "Open Case" in PayPal. I said ok and posted plenty of proof to show that he did indeed received the goods. Of course i won the case and went on with my life, but in a month something changed. A month later my PayPal went into negative balance and i questioned myself as to why this happened? I checked my history and it says there was a "Reversal" to the buyer of my GP. They took the $80 back which kind of ticked me off at that moment. I called up PayPal and they said the person listed it as a "Unauthorized Transaction". The man said i couldn't do anything about it because there was no way of telling if he received the goods.

I said to myself "THIS IS COMPLETE BULL #$@%!". Now i'm in negative balance and the GP that i sold to the guy was basically free. I am so p***ed off now that i can't even sell virtual goods OVER PAYPAL!!

Can anyone just buy some virtual goods now and have a 100% chance of getting their money back?

 

I don't know how do they do but it happened to me too. I sold someone a service (not on this site) and two days later I log into PayPal and I have -$10 balance. I open up the payment and it said it had been reversed because it was a "Unauthorized Transaction". I called PayPal numerous times but never one because it was a virtual service.

Sorry but I don't think there is anything we can do. best thing to do now is report the buyer if you remember his name.

 

Yeah, it's so stupid. Now it's like i gave him the GP for free wtf...

And i already got him banned a month ago the day he disputed the trade.

 

Yeah it sucks, I wish PayPal supported online trading more.

Seems like if you don't have proof of a tracking number or that it arrived in their possession they don't help you as much as they should.

Obviously, this guys is a scammer, and he did prepartion for all of this.
1, first, he disputed through paypal, might for reason: item not received,
and when you listed all proof, you win the case, and as paypal rules, virtual trade is not under protection for buyer. you won the case!

but later, you got reversal, because of unauthorized payment. (actually there are 2 situations here, unauthorized payment can be called for paypal balance paid, this happens when people claim his paypal account got stolen, and paypal will take action to view the account activity, they will judge from log in ip address, if it's getting changed, paypal would think this transaction got no permission from the real paypal owner( as the paypal account got hacked), you got no chance to have money back. If ip address no change, then paypal would give negative feed back to the buyer, and you keep the money.

2, unauthorized payment can be called from credit card payment, this is called charge back. I met lots of guys do charge back, so i got experience on dealing with these mother fks. for unauthorized payment charge back payments. scammers call bank and claim his credit card got stolen, the deal was not made by him. And you will get charged back

Well he must of sent via a CC so he just phoned his CC company up and reversed it I guess. PayPal don't fight CC companies so, you lost. Nothing you can do mate, try using PlayerAuctions.com or WU. Or maybe try sell your gold to trusted buyers, you will get a lower rate but your money is safe.
