I got scammed, what can be done?

There is this hot/cold flower game in runescape. Anyway, fc clan LEADER scammed me off 800m , blocked me and deleted me everywhere possible and denyies that he scammed me. Anyway, i was determined to sort this out and started looking for clues that might be helpfull, as far as now i got his Address he is from Canada, Illonois, and goes to High school in there. I got his phone number, and his dad's address. What can be done do you think people? I really need some good and helpfull answers please.

Well, make it clear he scammed, post proof on youtube and everything to prevent him from getting more bets. Get in contact with him and tell him you have his info, and even tell him it to prove it. That should scare him into giving it back.

 

I suppose you could talk to his dad or something, explain what he did and how you're call the police or something if he doesn't refund you. Though I don't recommend doing anything malicious with his info, that includes giving it out.

 

Tell on him. I would. Explain how much the GP is worth in $. Maybe his dad can do something about it.

Or, threaten to put his information on 4chan. But don't actually do it, das harsh.

Well i mean i got the kid's phone number, i did not call him yet. I got his address, and what school he goes to. Yes his Fc Scammed me big time, 800m, and i am currently got barely any left because i won 1.6billion pot and he never paid the kid that's why i am so angry. I will try to find someone from canada who could call up the kid, and tell him if he's not giving me conpensation there is going to be consquences.

Well if i was in Canada i would go and talk to him IRL, or send my friend so he could sort it or something. I mean im sick of kids these days scamming, i just want to catch them and track them up to teach them a lesso, i mean all that guy does is scams people and ranks them to keep them quiet. Anyway, his fc is "Tu Li" and he is hosting at world 9.

 

Well first there are no consquences for him, because it is a game. The only way you could stop him and get your money back would be to scare him, for example like a User above already told you would be, you tell him, that you got his info's etc. and have no conscience to do "something" with it.

More options I can't think of, because dude it's only a game. Yeah you lost 800m, but you trusted him, it's your fault.

 

And that my friend is called extortion which is much more illegal than stealing pixels that don't even belong to you. OP you have to chock it up as a loss because there is nothing you can do. First you don't own the gold, Jagex owns it as their intellectual property on their servers. Second if you go around threatening someone that is a serious crime, much more serious than stealing technically worthless gold that isn't yours.

It is not my fault, he scams people and then ignores them. He scammed about 5 ranks or 6 already in FC and everyone is against him. There must be something i can do, any of you guys live in usa and could ring him up and speak to him ?

I thought Illinois was in America. Just to clarify, I hope you didn't get his I.P and info through malicious and black hat methods... However, id just ring him and explain what you'll do (take it to the police), but I'm not sure of any evidence can be found/traced without jagex getting involved, as if you scam with a trust trade I believe jagex don't do anything as after all, it is a trust trade.

 

Call him and say you'll tell his parents that he's scamming people in a game. If that doesn't work, just call his parents and explain to them what the deal is and how their son is hurting people and stealing their money

 

is someone from usa and could ring him up please, so he sees the phone number is ringing is from usa and if someone could just tell him that i got his address and phone number, school etc.. and if he doesnt refund there will be consequences. You will get paid for it ill pay someone to do that, because the kid scammed loads of people not only me :/

 

Dont do anything stupid with his personal info. Calling the police won't help, what are you going to say... ''he took my rsgp''? they would probably laugh at you. Best you can do is try getting in contact with his father or him, GL though sorry for your loss.

It is obvious you want someone to justify your black-hat intentions, which no one here will condone (e.g blackmail, extortion, harassment, etc).

Just take the loss and move on. You are dealing on the internet so you should have expected for losses to happen at some point and budgeted accordingly.

tl;dr You don't put all your eggs in one basket.

 

If some pixels really upset you that much, then find him and kick his head in (don't really). If not, just do what I'd do and accept the fact if you play "flower game" with low profile clans, you'll get scammed eventually.
