What do you think is the most well made album?

Now don't get confused, this isn't exactly what is your favorite album, but what album do you think is best structured.

In my opinion it come down to two albums:

One: Pink Floyd's The Wall. The reasoning behind this is because there is no real individual song, they all work together to tell a story.

Two: Beck's Sea Change. While I am an avid Beck fan, that isn't the reason I'm listing this album. The reason I did pick it however is not because of meaning, lyrics, or what have you; but because of the flow of sound through the album. The way each song succeeds the previous is absolutely perfect, and was constructed with the utmost care.

 

1. Cruel Summer

Compilation album by recording artists of GOOD Music. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, selling 205,000 copies in its first week. The album also reached the top 10 of charts in Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. As of November 4, 2012, Cruel Summer has sold 340,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

(Reason #1 being: Probably the best rap/hip-hop group out at the moment [opinion])
(Reason #2 being: The amount of sales and hits the songs in the album have received)

Green day's American Idiot was well put together, songs and videos kind of fitted together into a story

 

I think PJ's Ten is very well acclaimed and for every right reason.

 

The Wall is good, especially the concept, but what I like about DSOTM and Animals is the beautiful, subtle intricacy they have.

It's hard to say what the best made album of all time is (there's a shitton of music out there), but one of my candidates would be Cafe Tavba's Reves/Yo Soy

Pink Floyd's the wall pt 2 I believe was the best, I've got it on LP somewhere.

 

Just wanted to say American Idiot was a terrible album, musically and content wise in my opinion.

The Wall was a really good album structure wise, In The Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson is another really good one. Any Led Zeppelin album really. I really love Break The Windows by Mischief Brew as well.

 

Probably Man on the Moon by Kid Cudi.
It isnt the best album, but it has a good storyline and structurally is good

Love this album, all the songs are great and are in a nice order. One of the few albums I can listen to all the way through over and over again

 

There's no arguing that no matter how much I love Greenday, their older stuff is a lot better than what's on Uno and Dos. Similar to My Chemical Romance, they should have stopped while they were ahead.
