RuneScape Client & Firewall?

So apparently my Firewall doesn't like the Runescape client. The only way I can get it to work is by quickly opening the program straight after I log in to the computer, otherwise I get this message. (Every time I close the program I then have to log off and then log on again).



I keep getting this message, despite allowing "JagexLauncher" through the firewall.



I've also tried turning the firewall off altogether but still nothing seems to work.
I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the client numerous times.


Anyone else had similar issues/the same one/know how to resolve this?

Have you got a secondary firewall, such as microsoft silverlight I think it's called, which I had on my windows 7 pc. Certain things could also block it, not 100% sure what though, sorry I can't be of any more help.

 

Have you tried using SwiftKit? Still a client & better features.

 

I have Microsoft Silverlight on my PC, yeah. Do you know how I go about adding/removing permissions? When I select "allow" or "deny" nothing happens. I can't drag in programs either.

No longer trust external clients after the whole SwiftKit shenanigans :laugh:

I'll wait and see if anyone else has any other alternatives, I have a habit of messing up computers.

That always used to show for me when I wanted to open the client. Ever since I started using 'run as administrator' it never happened again. That could be the case with you too if you didn't try that yet.
