I ordered one of the few matrix 7970 platinums in stock. :D Pretty excited to test the card when it arrives on thursday, since every review shows that it performs even better than the current fastest single gpu, the msi gtx 680 lightning. I usually never buy amd gpus but damn, this card is amazing.

    Reviews from Newegg aren't enough.
Wellllll this card is amazing enough to play everything you want it's 100 bucks higher than any 7970 except for ghz editions.
If you found an article with a bench that proves this is better than the 680 post the link.
Btw congrats and did u sell your 670?

Very nice, imagine running two of them in a Crossfire setup. Let us know how well you think it performs compared to the amount of money you spent upgrading it.

    $350

I'm only using a single 24 inch monitor so my i7 3770k 4.8ghz and this card @ 1200mhz+ is definitely going to be overkill

Monster card.. I'm the kind of guy who won't go over $200 for a card, play ability is fine for me, anything over that is luxury which I can't afford any time soon.

Please do show us some pictures of your build + some youtube videos of it in action.

Same here, I prefer buying a card around €250 to get good performance. Graphic cards are just getting better and better every year. If you buy one of the best cards on the market now it will be out performed by other cards next year. Obviously this is the case for any stuff in your PC but for that reason I'd rather go with the €250 range and upgrade to another one in the €250 range every few years  Got a Radeon HD 6950 right now which is performing good enough for one 1920x1080 screen.

Anyways, this card is insane; show us some benchmarks soon :)
