Sythe.org Gaming Servers

I've just been approached by Grave in regards to some dedicated hosting for some games. He said they'd be free as long as the server itself had advertising to the host, which I feel is a fair compromise.

Here's my question to you all. What games would you like to see? I'll gladly manage and set up the servers (as long as it's not CS:S, I refuse to play that god forsaken game. If that one is in high demand, someone else will have to take "ownership" of it)

Please post your thoughts here, and I'll work out the specifics with Grave afterwards.

 

BF3 servers with 24/7 maps would be pretty awesome, if that's do-able.

And although you've mentioned you refuse to play CS:S, is it possible to have one set up anyway? I'm not a huge fan of the game but I occasionally hop on and I guess it would be fun to play against Sythe members

 

Call of Duty? Bear in mind the only game worth shoving a dedicated server on is COD4, all the others are either nearly dead or are just terrible.

Or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as an alternative?

A Sythe xbox 360 BF3 server would be cool, don't know if it could be done though

 

Get a Minecraft server running, think a lot of people would play it. I spent a few weeks developing a raid server & all the plugins are accurate. I just never bothered hosting it in the end, so if you need a server I can sort you out with that.

 

There was a Minecraft server running last year towards the end of 2011, it was going pretty good for like 2 months and then it slowly died. I don't even play Minecraft anymore, it's just gotton boring for me.

 

It's pretty expensive to run the BF3 360 servers. I doubt it would be done because of that. It would require a lot of donations or a dedicated BF3 and Sythe fan with money coming out if their ass.

Minecraft? Team Fortress 2?

 

Minecraft can be pretty easily done, he's already told me he's prepared to set that up. If there's enough demand for it, we can look into it.

 

A Left4Dead2 Server with no clip (every time you shoot a bullet, your ammo goes back to full so no reloading needed), tons of zombies and special infected. Also, a purchase system to get health kits plus defibs and etc.

Maybe add a bit more zombies though along with a voting system that can change the campaign every like 60 minutes so it doesn't get spammed.

 

CS, minecraft, RSPS, WoW, CoD

 

Already have the Minecraft servers up, so it'll take about 30 seconds. I would personally enjoy having a Team Fortress 2 server though. It's free, fun, and we can have tournaments and such on it.

 

Call Of Duty/Minecraft could be good.
