Runescape economy?

It seems the economy has gotten really bad. Gold is dirt cheap (.40/mil) I remember when it was $10/mil. And everything has depreciated like crazy.

Integrate - I remember prices close to that. I think £5/m wasn't unheard of!

 

Well everyday that comes buy more and more gold is coming into circulation so obviously prices are going to go down a bit. There are also more people trading RS gold now than before so they have to compete for the best prices.

 

EoC must have something to do with it aswell, lots of people have quit - some very rich players out there.

 

10$ a mil, when was that? lol

But yeah probably because of the new combat system that came out..

 

$10 a mill is pre 08 for sure.

 

It was when the trade limit was first put in place.

 

I remember when rsgp was $4/m, never $10/m though. (That was in 07)

 

GP was 10$ a million back in 05/06 before aryan came out. When literally gold was only produced by legit playing, merchanting and using SCAR.

It just seems like the items i bought maybe a year and a half ago (around july 2011) Have gone down in price so much. My abby whip is only like 500k.

 

Gold farmers and RWT in general has flooded the economy throughout the years. It's expected though as the years pass on and the gold farming industry grows. However, recent decreases in GP are mainly pointed at members' dumping before EoC was initially released from what I recall.

 

I used to pay around £4 per mill, now it's like £0.4 ($0.32ish). Supply is larger than demand, so prices go down.
