A video gave me a virus >.<

Strangest thing happend to me today. looked around on websites just surfing in public. Came on to some wierd site that had like a list of wierd things like baby in microwave a woman cut in half and such. It was a video with the Title do not watch this video. Reminded me of The ring so i watched it. Came some screamo hardcore rock music and it came up a bunch of pictures and i quote'' Hate God, Hate God, 9/11 Was good. Yet Again this is the most wierd shit ever and it kinda freaked me out so i clicked it down. Then when i went online again it came up a virus everytime i clicked up my browser saying. The Police is watching you. we are tracking you right now and then it stood what i apparently have done which was terrorism, watching child pornography and just pornography in general which i was not doing, Was a pretty obvious virus since it also was a bunch of grammatic errors. I did get away the virus from my computer but just by clean curiosity. has anyone else happend to come a cross this video or a simillar thing that gave you virus? Cause the thing is i have virus protection and all and was not quite sure what happend there.

Well that's pretty weird, but never heard of while watching an video that you get an virus of it.

id stay away from those gore websites lol. I used to browse them for kicks in my highschool media class, with some people to kill time and some of the stuff was really fucked up. Id never browse that shit on my own computer or alone, i never heard of someone getting a virus from watching a video. Did you download the video or download some pictures?

 

no thats the thing. i just started the video and all that scary music and shit came up. with you bro, staying away from these fucked up websites forever rofl

i didnt do that either. Honestly this was just like a youtube video i just clicked on the video and it started up. came up nothing about downloading or running anything just like a youtube video clicking on it.

Only thing I can think of.

 

i saw this at work experience and i couldn't really understand what happened but i ran malwarebytes and superantispyware and that seemed to do the trick

 

Doesn't look like a virus, more like a prank video, albeit stay away from those gory sites as they are quite depressing in nature.. depends on who you are.
