Inactive Official Middlemen

I understand you earned it so why not put it to use is that not what its for ? Thats like getting a Doctoral Degree just so people can call you Dr. But your a peasant what sense does that make. Your not putting what you worked hard for to use which is your call but im just saying OMM are here for a reason.... and its clearly not to "not OMM"

 

I think the ones saying they should be stripped of the rank don't realise how much goes in to an OMM appliation. If it's been earned why take it away? I'm sure if someone PM'd them they'd either help conduct the trade or help the user find someone else to work with.

 

ok FireZ is saying he dosent OMM because he chooses not too.

He dosent OMM yet he's earned the Rank- So you have the rank so what is that doing to help others on the site if your not OMMing

Its not a problem to me but others on the site that might need OMM's

Im not saying strip them of there ranks hell to that naw its a gruesome process to become a OMM could take years but, what i am saying is there should be something to show people on the site either there inactive for a certain amount of time or there not OMMing at the moment. Dont ya think. One OMM said he dosent even OMM during school months OMG you go to school half the year if not more ........ So he's going to be inactive for a certain amount of time why not let people know.

 

The OP on this thread suggests removal of the rank, I wasn't aiming my comment personally at you? If a MM makes an application and is accepted and there are no "must do one trade a week" or specific guidelines, then they should be able to trade whenever they like. I'm sure most would at least respond to a PM so what's the issue? Just because they're not active in the MM section doesn't mean they're not approachable.

 

Even if you're a peasant and you have your doctoral degree it won't be stripped away if it isn't put into practice.

The main problem with OMM at the moment is the lack of profit vs risk from being an OMM. With wipes OMMs are held accountable and account trades can even be pinned on OMMs in some cases. At the moment hardly any OMM gets business when charging a fee and those who do it for free aren't making any money but are risking themselves losing a lot of money at the same time over a vouch or two. In my opinion if somebody doesn't want to put themselves in a position where they can be held accountable in a trade they shouldn't have to put themselves at risk for gaining nothing out of it and shouldn't be punished for not OMMing either because they are protecting themselves and have still earned the rank.

Ye i looked up the wipes and i was like wtf that crazy, but i guess N4N0 had a counter attack to that about the Video approval if a wipe happens during a trade. That was brilliant thinking on his part. So im guessing everytime a OMM/MM does a trade there gonna have to vid it. Now that I think about it i believe if i was a OMM id probably lay low also....

 

They earn it, they keep it. Simple as that..

 

Locking this thread, it's getting repetitive. Final word: as said several times, they earned the title and there's no limit on how many OMMs we give out, so there's no reason to take it away.
