Yu-Gi-Oh! anyone? :D

Now that I've been on Sythe for awhile now, I never really got to ask. Are there any avid Yu-Gi-Oh! Players here? If so whats your favorite card and why? I'm looking for some new people to play with and test out decks with so I'm always interested in talking Yu-Gi-Oh! with people . I currently have about 70 friends at my high school that I got to start playing again and I gotta say, It's a blast!


So yeah, C'mon over Yu-Gi-Oh! lovers and talk about it

 

How ironic, my friend just sent me a picture of his Garnecia Elefantis card about five minutes ago (laughing). Obviously that's my favorite card because after not being close with him for 10 years. Mind you this happened roughly two years ago, I asked my friend Nick if he still had Garnecia and he pulled him out of his drawer in the plastic cover. Every time I see it, it sort of takes me back to my childhood which is a wonderful feeling if I do say so myself. As far as playing Yu-Gi-Oh goes, I honestly haven't touched my deck in years.

 

Haven't played in like 10 years.

 

wow havent heard any1 say that in awhile. I used to love the show and cards. It was right after pokemon ect.. good times.

Its such a shame i somehow managed to lose my deck. Was a Yugioh fan for a good few years, i went to tournaments as well every month.

Very good times, ill also never forget playing Yugioh - Duelist of the Roses on PS2, Yugioh - Reshef of Destruction on gameboy advance, and a few others i cant remember the name of

But in response to your question, my favourite card(s) were Exodus, i had the full set, which alot of people were like omg omg, and everytime i successfully managed to play it during a match, was like the most epic thing ever.

Haha yeah, I recently just got back into tournament playing (just won my locals tourney) and I'm hoping that I can go to YCS this year I always think its fun to hear peoples memory's about this stuff because it seems like everyone does and they all have good ones about it

 

I was never really interested in Yu-Gi-Oh! -- I took the pretty cards from my brother; I was (and am) a Pokémon fan.

 

Hey the power too ya man! I tried to get into Pokémon, but I never really understood it. I did love the show as a kid though haha. My sisters did the same thing to me with my Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards too >.> only they only took the cute ones like petit angel, and other cards like that.

 

I played the games, watched the shows, and played & traded Pokémon cards. I never knew why I didn't like Yu-Gi-Oh! but I didn't. All Pokémon are cute, maybe that's why. Girls are weird & they have cooties.

 

Haha hey its always good to have some versitality in peoples lives ;D. Have you ever done tournaments or anything at your locals with Pokémon? I gotta say when I first did it with Yu-Gi-Oh! it opened up a whole new world for it with me. It's awesome when you can play with people you've never met and learn new stuff every time you go! Also if you do win it's always nice opening the awesome prizes ;D

 

Honestly, no, I never participated in local events. My peers were never very accepting of things like such, although, I've never really cared what people think. There's a few kids in my science class that play Yu-Gi-Oh! and people judge them beyond belief; it bugs me that people can be so quick to brand someone.

 

I lost all my cards when I moved. =(( I had some pretty damn rare ones too! Good memories playing with my friends though...got so competitive. Lol, my favorite would have to be that hairy kirby looking one Yugi used a lot. It was really useful, can't remember why though..

 

Yu-Gi-Oh! was honestly the game we all used to play after the surge of Pokemon died down. I sometimes have a dabble on it online as there are various sites you can play online.

Yeah I know what you mean Yankiee. When I wasn't in high school that happened a ton, but now people really don't care anymore. I defiantly agree how if they see a game that's "Childish" or "Nerdy" they judge immidiatly. Its funny though because these games take thinking and skill

And you me Kuriboh? :C My furry, cute, fluffy friend haha he was good because of this effect: During your opponent's turn, at damage calculation: You can discard this card; you take no Battle Damage from that battle.

Lol I played that game when I was about 12 with a neighbour. Must of paid an arm and a leg for all them cards

 

Haha yeah, these cards are starting to get really pricey these days.. My deck is worth like $300 alone o.o

 

I used to love Yugioh, played it all the time with my mates, unfortuneatly I lost my deck(s), had hundreds of the cards.

 

Awhh that's just unfortunate man :/ sorry to hear that. I would die if I lost all of my cards haha.
