rsgp crashing - a new dupe? what else?

This morning i saw sth in-game that i have never seen before: spambots are selling rsgp 0,37$ ea...
What could be the cause of such a drop in price? There are less bots in the game atm (only 61k ppl online at low hours), shouldnt the price rise a bit instead?

 

Are the spambots in game legit gold-sellers? I doubt it.

Logically, it depends on supply and demand. However, I think it's safe to assume the demand for RSGP has decreased since the introduction of the EoC, since many players have either already quit or are selling the remainder of their bank for a quick buck.

 

Yes price is crashing hard, 0.37$ is way too expensive atm. Some bulk sellers sell even 0.30$ ea! WTF
Also thought it's becasue of new dupe, not many bots online + many getting resets/bans. But if it's only because of that EoC, then wow, never thought it will affect market so much.

This pretty much sums it all up. Fishy getting banned and EoC coming out at the same time caused a huge impact on the market.

 

Well as said above lots of people are dumping gold at the moment but I have also heard from some people on RS that 2 major gambling clans have sold all their gold so that too could have a bit of a nasty effect on the RS market.

Well I have heard of some guy on RS that it was in the excess of 40 billion and although that is not a lot I guess it is enough to make the RS gold exchange rate move a bit .

 

Starry had about 250B
Fishy had about the same.

There accounts were banned with that amount of money, however I think just these two people, they'd have dumped in the region of 150-200B.

Also alot of Dragon Dyce hosts, because fc's/hosts are getting banned this caused people to panic sell at stupidly low prices.

Thus causing a crash in rsgp, more people selling than buying.

 

Fishy made a deal with Jmods before he was banned that he must stay over 200b or he'd be banned. He must have dumped over 75b in order to get below that lmao

 

Prices will rise again, make a profit while you can(;

 

As well as many rich players dumping gold, the fact that armour etc has crashed, you need less gp to buy things, so stuff is easier to obtain, so people don't need to buy as much, causing supply to be higher than demand, so prices drop.

The other problem is a lot of sellers are trying to offload their gold as well as private sellers but a lot of buyers are more hesitant to buy after seeing posts about being wiped on several different forums. I know a few people who have actually stopped buying gold until the rwt wipes calm down.

Also I think there was a glitch which could earn couple 100mil/ hour but I'm pretty sure it was patched within a few hours.

 

They can wait a long time, this is just the beginning. Wipes happens more often, only big gp merchants can handle them since they still make profit after losing a few B's. It will only stabilize the economy and will get gp price up.

It won't go up unless the demand goes up. The supply isn't a big problem in rs gp market but with wipes the demand will fall meaning the price won't rise if there is a threat of wipes present.
