Has this ever been done?

I think the idea was that someone's less likely to abuse their power if it's not just them but a friend getting punished for their actions.

Nevertheless, it's a fairly dumb rule that isn't ever enforced.

 

Well OMM's scamming or something that staff has vouched for I knew the rule was there but I don't think it's been enforced. I'd assume it's a case by case basis. If I say "I support KenPen for OMM" and then someone came to me asking for support and I supported their OMM app just because I've seen they've worked hard and then they scam like Pen or someone did like FireZ said I'd be pissed being held responsible.

All in all it comes down to if people really want to dig up what staff members supported a persons OMM app and then a year later they are banned for scamming, it's up then to the rest of the upper staff to do as they feel. I think most people just get banned and the staff members who didn't have any involvement in it should be fine.
