Honorable opponent... again... and again?

What's the deal? This is the third time this has popped up. Do I get a bonus or something every time it happens?

 

I have had that come up twice myself. I think it may just be a glitch because nothing special comes out of it happening more then once.

I believe this is correct, there should be a red ribbon on your summoner border now when you're loading into the game.

 

Yea you get nothing different that what you get the first time, try getting the teamwork one though, it's amazing.

 

You lose the ribbon because you didn't gain honor for a while (other people overtook you), then you regain it after A) you gained honor, or B) enough other people didn't gain honor for a while such that you are now eligible for it again.

Though this is just speculation based on my assumption that the top [x number] of players with [x or higher] honor are the ones to whom the ribbon is given.

 

This is correct. The ribbon your team sees is the one you have the highest (quality) honor in, while your opponent always sees the honorable opponent one if you have enough honor for it. Honor decays though :/
