EOC pures discussion

After eoc releasing today what do you guys think will happen with account builds? Are there different requirements for armour besides rune? I haven't tried the eoc yet but I will when I get home and I'm wondering what you guys think about it. I just recently made a rune turmoil pure but with the eoc will it have been a waste? Also do barrow gloves really need 70 defence now?

 

If this is just for discussion then here goes:

My 1 defence pure now becomes a lot more difficult to train on due to the following reasons:
- It has 99 range, yet it can not wear any range armour (apart from leather but fu*k that)
- NPC's can now hit through prayer. I tried out bandits for just a few minutes...not going to happen, as i need prayer pots AND food now.
- Being 102 combat, i need to find a monster to train on >92, otherwise i will only receive 10% xp. What monsters are level 92+ that a pure can melee on? I can't think of any...?
- This means no more rock crabs, experiments, cows, bandits, cave crawlers etc..

Does anyone know some solutions to 1 defence armour, and where to train?

They never said that. They were actually trying to encourage you to get defence. Pures still exist and are still viable accounts but they're slightly different, yes.

 

Their supposed to have removed the xp cap on combat because everyone complained about it in the beta phase.

Yes barrows need 70 def now, but if your 40 try that, I got 50 def from 45 and got rune including gloves and torso which is still fairly decent for an extra 5 cb lvls

 

Oh they've removed the 10%/-10 combat level xp cap?
I hope so.
Went to rock crabs, discovered they are now 102 cb, same as all maxed 1 def pures; jagex are just teasing us pures. They also hit a fuckload and are no longer a good training place for pures.
Experiments are now level 50 and can hit a lot more, so i'm also pessimistic about this training spot still.

Soul wars might have to be the only way to go.

If I had to assume what the highest percentage of players that quit was, I would place my bets on 1 Defense pures.

 

eoc doesn't really effect pking wise as if someone had higher defence they have alot lower strength and attack but if you have 99strenth better of getting 99 attack to as it doesnt level you
