Is Bandos still worth it?

depends, if you have extra cash laying around, you could purchase it. However, if your looking for the strength bonus, just buy the tassets and get a fighter torso and you will get the same str bonus and save 12m?

You could just purchase some barrows armor since it has better defensive stats and you would save lots of money, but the repair costs can be a pain.

Your best bet would be waiting a day after this update. Don't want to loose cash unless you want to make a risk.

 

Yes, Jagex stated Bandos is still the armor of choice in terms of reliable and non-degradable armor. In my opinion, if you want it right now then buy it right now because it's a reasonable amount.

 

Did you read the OP and pay attention to RS at all? EoC is tonight/tomorrow morning, so none of what you said is relevant.

@OP: I can confirm that in the Beta, Bandos works very efficiently. It's the best non-degradable armor you can use, so for doing grinding like Slayer it's definitely the only bet to make. In the current live game, Bandos is a necessity for mains; in the EoC, it's still just as important. However, the Bandos Helm is actually the nondegradable helm of choice in the EoC since Neitiznot has no critical bonuses (i.e., strength bonus). The same goes for Bandos Boots being better than Dragon Boots; both don't have any strength bonus. The gloves are the same as Culinaromancer 10, but Bandos Gloves cost more than 100k.

All in all, keep your BCP/Tassets and buy a Helm and Boots now while 90% of RS is too stupid to realize it.


Yes, Torva is better, but it's still degradable and completely wasteful if you are slaying or grinding. Torva costs 200k GP/hr, and in conjunction with two chaotics, your total cost/hr just for degradables alone is 600k. Adding in potions and food, it's probably 800k-1m GP/hr. That's pretty significant. Torva is still only an armour that should be used for looks or for bosses.

 

There aren't Culimorancer 12 gloves, it only goes up to 10!

Also, apparently the Fighter Torso is pretty much useless in EOC, which is sad to see.

 

Yeah most armor pieces lost their strength bonus, including torso. It's basically just a Rune Plate now.

Also, yeah.... idk why I said 12....
