On a serious note, they haven't disclosed the released time. However, if you recall all their 'double experience weekends' started at approximately 7-10am GMT (2-5 am EST)

There is no double experience happening any time soon, what he mentioned about the BXPW was to expect the EoC debut the exact same time the BXPW starts.

Their updates usually roll out between 6 and 10 AM EST, which is about 2 to 6 PM Cambridge time iirc.

 

i'm sort of hoping it's sooner in the am rather than later. sort of excited.

 

I'm hoping it is sooner just because I want to see if they add trade caps again, which would be the nail in the coffin for me.

As for the EOC update, I love it. But if trade caps are back and I cannot conduct business, there is just nothing left for me.

 

I highly doubt they will add a trade cap in as they've realized that will just kill the game again. They know from first hand experience.

 

I agree completely, I'm just a paranoid individual. Once I saw R2's thread and the thought was imbued into my brain that there might be caps coming back, I have been anxiously awaiting the update just to see that no caps will be re-added.

But I'm positive they won't. And if they aren't, I look forward to playing RS legitimately because EOC was fun for me.

There's no trade cap... Jagex would never do it with such a big update at the same time. They want real feedback that the EoC is good/bad for the game, and the only feedback they will get is membership price changes and page views. If they unload two major updates at once, it would be hard to tell which one was causing the changes in order to fix it or continue to implement it.

 

Very intelligent insight..especially considering the Trade-Cap was already a failed creation. And also because there's no way they'd just implement that without warning, people would go certifiably insane.

I'm also interested to see how the economy reacts. Rares, as well as gold prices.

 

The economy will do what it always does: hemorrhagic diarrhea out of every pore of the GE because Runescape's economy is driven by twelve-year-olds. Give it a month and GP will probably return to its normal state.

For instance, the average account will still need about the same amount of GP to be made. This won't really change the demand for gold. Most mains will still probably need 95 prayer and 96 herblore, so they will still need 200-500m that they need today. These are really the people that drive the gold resale market, which fuels the entire gold market, and with no real change there will be no real change in price.

The interesting thing is that we have no idea what updates fromthe Beta that the EoC has, so we don't really know what role pures will play in the new RS. Pures were a very good blackmarket sink hole because people tend to invest 10-100m in a pure and then pretty much abandon it after a few hours of PKing. However, with the new prayers not requiring quests (as far as I know), this may actually increase the pure-GP sinkhole, as long as they are still relevant PKers.

Another interesting thing is the bots dying and PvM goldfarming being changed element, which will obviously be influential to a degree. This may change prices of items, but I doubt gold. Why? One dicer makes enough money per day as hundreds of bots, so I still maintain that dicing is more influential to the blackmarket than bots are. A dice nuke would be more harmful to GP prices than a bot nuke. Most of the bots you see in RS are from the Chinese websites that farm their own gold, so the presence of these bots has little influence on the Skype market. We'll just have to see.


TL;DR: I'm serious about the "hemorrhagic diarrhea" shitstorm that will be the Runesape Grand Exchange from November 20 to mid-December 2012. If you play RS, bring an umbrella.

 

Hahaha read that entire thing. hemorrhagic diarrehea HAHAHA. That is great. Your points all make perfect sense too. What do you make of all the people claiming they'll quit? Just crap or do you really think a large portion is leaving? I mean I figure for every person that quits there are always 2 more to replace that person..so who the hell knows. I know I won't be quitting, I actually enjoyed the beta.
