This may sound stupid

A friend of mine of four years is gay, and we lost contact about a year ago. I finally found his Skype name again. We were both really happy and whatnot and BAM! Charlotte does something so unspeakably stupid once again. My bio thing on Skype said, "Faggots." Why? Why would I do something so irresponsible? I had that up there because another friend didn't think I'd keep "Faggots" up there for more than a day because I absolutely hate homophobes. It's been up there for a week, maybe more. Anyway, he said: "Woah, homophobia doesn't make you cool." and then deletes me. He knows how I feel about homophobes but still did what he did, and I understand why.

Should I try to contact my friend again? I know he won't listen to reason, but when he said that and deleted me, I obviously felt stupid and felt like my heart had been ripped out.

 

In all honesty his actions just scream ATTENTION WHORE. I wouldn't worry about it at all, just let him come back to you.

I think it's more an overreaction on his part, even if you didn't have it there for the reason you do.. I call people faggots and use the word on a daily basis but am in no way homophobic. If I were you I'd just try to contact him but be cool about it, don't get in to explaining why it's there or it could look like you're making excuses. Just tell him you didn't mean it in a homophobic way, it should just blow over.
