Official Sythe Store for ranks

I was thinking if Sythe could have this thing powerbot does - they have an actual page where you can buy your donator ranks via paypal directly.

I know you can get them from trusted users here but don't you think that'd be slightly easier and clearer for newer users and sythe himself getting the money given to him straight away?

 

Once you have donated $5 via RSGP and met the other requirements you can purchasable the other ranks directly and instantly via paypal. The reason you cant just donate via paypal straightup is because there is a high chance of chargebacks.

 

GP isn't the only option, as long as you donate through a third party. Some accepts Paypal through PlayerAuctions, but you'd pay a bit more. Once you've donated a minimum of $5 through a third party, you'll be able to "purchasable" the other ranks with Paypal or continue donating through a third party.

People can donate via Paypal, but there are requirements, this helps preventing chargebacks -and people who come, donate $200 and scam $1000-.

I think the current system is just fine.

 

Sythe would make some serious bank off this, but I doubt he'd want to stoop to those levels.

 

Did you read the OP? He's not referring to fun ranks or anything, simply direct paypal; which was answered by the above posts.

 

To be honest they kind of fucked the whole system up early in the game. They should of made it being $200+ donator gets benefits like mass messaging (3+ people at once), bigger signature space, being able to edit there own thread titles, and things like that. I was sickened to see a $2000 donator with a signature violation picture in his siggy by n4no, like what the hell, the guy donated $2000 to the site and you care if his signature is a few pixels larger than everyone elses? *facepalm*

So I guess on thread, I wouldn't support this. I'd actually support a change in the donation system as a whole.

Then, how does powerbot cope with this? I'm sure they could make it some kind of direct membership which is actually covered by paypal if you're using them for the payment method.

 

NO SHIT? Read my message again I said it should be for donators as a donator perk not for everyone.

 

The OP is suggesting to be able to donate to Sythe.org via PayPal, you can already do this.

To donate via PayPal you need to fufill these requirements -

- $5 donator at least
- Been a member of the site for 15+ days
- 100+ Post count.

The option to donate via PayPal is already there, just you need to fulfil the above requirements first.

 

Paypal is not offered because chargebacks were rampant. The system isn't going to change anytime soon, it was born by years of trial and error, and it's what works best for the site. Denied
