More like he's forced to pay if he's convicted. Unless the people can establish that he committed the offense he's charged with, he doesn't have to pay anything, regardless of his attitude.

Scary. It's just traffic court; it's really not a big deal.

 

I agree with everyone saying this kid is immature. Also the fact that he just turned 18 and he has a 2012 BMW, obviously spoiled and works for nothing, I'm sure mommy and daddy bought it for him.

There is no requirement that you use signal when lane changing per se, so long as your movement wasn't unreasonably dangerous. Were there cars around you when you lane changed? Did you check your mirrors and blind spot? If there was light traffic and you made sure the lane you were going into was clear, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting the charges dismissed.
