Question about real life - Sythe & job/studying

I recently got back to RuneScape after finishing my college exams (I doubt I will play though, as that evolution of combat is coming and I dislike it) but well.

I was wondering how does the people in Sythe manage to stay on forums like this and also succeed in real life? Asking this because Sythe and games like for example runescape consumes a lot of time that could be used for better things than staying infront of a computer killing virtual monkeys or guards. Or they just not succeed and waste their lives?

In my opinion people should leave forums like these and focus in real life, as this wont get you anywhere.

I would like to hear some opinions about this

 

Your argument only applies to those who spends hours and hours per day on the site.

For example, I am on quite frequently at the moment, but I am also writing my dissertation. So I would be on my laptop anyway.

It is quite reasonable to spend an hour per day or so on this website and still have a strong career path, social life, etc. It all comes down to good time management.

 

The reason im not succeeding is because i didn't really take high school seriously. I did graduate, but now i can't even get into the easiest program in college.

you will definitely learn something as long as you dont mind sifting through some unintellectual crap.

 

Most people balance it by putting work first. Many people when they have break or have finished work do something such as T.V., Gym, etc... But some people will spend some of that time on sythe. Its mainly time management and how you spend your time

 

I went through something similar like you. I had terrible marks at high school, never failed a year though, and did graduate too. Once I finished high school I signed in college and I am currently studying economy. I got so tired of doing nothing at school that now, at college, I use to get the highests marks of my class.

But I had to leave runescape and things like sythe in order to be like that. I am in Sythe right now because I've finished and also succeeded in my college semester but I dont understand how people spend their time on sites like this or games like runescape,

What I would suggest you is that you leave sythe and focus on whats actually important, your carreer, otherwise you won't succeed mate. If you dont want to quit sythe then do like this, first quit it, then prove yourself that you can do great at college, and once you did that and finished your exams, then come back to sythe for a while untill you have to study again

 

you dont need to stay so much.. its important to work and get money .

 

I am a Sythe regular. Hell I have gotten 5k posts in a little over 2 1/2 years - most of that being in the last 8 months or so. Recently though my activity has taken a hit here at sythe because my social life and my studies have been picking up a lot more.
