    Unsafe Lane Change ticket

I got one of these fuckers on 9/23 (3 days after my 18th birthday), the cop showed no mercy. The pig aswell ticketed me for my lemo tints all around, and failure to have a front license plate.

Sooooooo this is what i am stuck on, and would love everyones input.

i am going to plead guilty but with a reason for the unsafe lane change (not using my blinker). What i've bullshitted so far is that my exgirlfriend and i were having an unpleasantly loud conversation about the future of our relationship, and i accidentally pushed down the cruise control button, instead of the blinker; they are really close together. i will also include that i both work, and attend college. That way the judge could sympathize with meeee

or i might fight the ticket and say i really did use my blinker but my tail lights were heavily tinted and the sun was facing behind my car, therefore the officer couldn't see it.

    whatcha' niggas think

so you're arguing with your girlfriend and fail to put your indicator on, would they not suggest you were driving without due care?

Plead guilty, and deal with the consequences, I hate people who don't signal.

If you're gonna fight them, you should probably get a traffic lawyer. Otherwise, just plead guilty and go for the lowest you can get.

Heavy tints on the taillights will still get you in trouble. Why do you have limo tints anyway? Cops HATE that. Sometimes they pull you over just for that.

Your car sounds like a cop magnet to me, lol. What kind of car do you drive?

Own up and suffer the consequences, you could have cost someone their life at the end of the day, they don't hand out tickets for nothing. Drive with care or don't drive at all.

You need to 'man up' and face the consequences of your actions. You break the law, you run the risk of getting caught. The courts would probably respect you much more for just saying "fair enough, you got me" than some long winded excuse that won't wash.

And before you accuse me of being a slow driver, I have had a BMW up to 135 MPH (217 KPH) (no national speed limit where I live) on a public road under advanced driving conditions.

And it's people like you that end up costing someone their life. Man up and face it or you're going to be in more trouble than you are already. Your attitude wont get you far, honest.

Brb sending this thread to the cops for further evidence.

If you go with option a) you get screwed over, as driving is a strict liability offence. You don't need mens rea to be proven guilty only the act. So whatever you say it's you're fault.

If you go with B), you're double screwed because it's illegal to drive with windows that are too dark. A certain amount of light has to go through.

What state do you live in and what section of the vehicle code were you cited for violating?

    Oh yes they do.

Why should the opinion of some old guy in a robe matter more than having to pay several hundred dollars for a ticket?

Because OP deserves to pay several hundred dollars for a ticket, if he goes to court with the same attitude that he is giving on the forum then he fully deserves whatever the maximum fine it is for the ticket.

It's not the opinion of 'some old guy in a robe' it's the opinion of the state.

Option B has nothing to do with his windows. Taillights have no tint limit as far as my knowledge goes.
