Teenage Singers not many people liked gets Famous.

Hey Guys. The Thing I mean is like, Look at Rebecca Black. In my Opinion She cant sing at all. Her Parents payed so she could make a Music Video which was a huge Failure and people made fun of her voice and so on. Now She do Concerts and stuff and actually seem to have Legit fans.

One Direction: When they signed up for X-factor I think some of them were even really close to not go through the first round even. Now they play all around the World and has a Huge Fan Base.


Justin Bieber: When he realeased his first song ''Baby'' It got most viewed youtube video. Like 500,000 more dislikes than likes or something and people started hating on him. Obviously not the majority of girls. Now He's making Millions of Dollars Has alot alot alot of Fans. Even I started to like him now which i didnt even do from the beginning.



So my point is: In my opinion Justin Bieber can actually sing. But Rebecca Black and One Direction, I really do not think they can sing very good. Is it possible that the fans from these people Just like them because of their look or something? I mean if the people from One Direction would have been really good they would of gone through Straight up in x-factor with no hesitation. And one thing that actually proves that Justin Bieber Could sing. He got Discoverd Via Youtube. He didnt sign up for any x-factor, Didnt Have any Parents paying for him to become famous. First off, no talent beiber sings about as good as the next person walking down the street. People don't like them because they don't deserve the fame and attention they get while real, struggling, emotional and raw-talent artists don't get half the exposure that they deserve.

This is all commercial music, the only reason they were hired is strictly money-driven. All of their songs are written by their producers which explains the repetitive senseless jibber jabber that you hear in just about every pop song. I guarantee you there are very little, if any, songs that he or any modern artist has written alone. If there was, it will most likely be found on very early recordings before they signed their souls away and became mascots for all these big name music industries.

And these are the people getting more awards and selling more records than the Beatles... What a joke.

 

Yeah it really annoys me. This is not Real music. Also I think its kind of wierd of fast people get famous and rich now lol.

 

Don't be fooled, don't waste your time even paying attention to it. It already swallows up a lot of dumb kids these days who don't know any better so just pay it no mind and hope that it phases out.

If you really think about it, a lot of the stuff you hear on the radio is the same. Reason is most likely due to money of course being tight ('too tight' for these music industries is still a very greedy amount) and to not lose out on more money, you have to sign the acts that pump out the guaranteed stuff, the generic stuff. Get it? I know I might be rambling but hopefully my point passes.

 

justin beiber is legit.

no reason to dislike him. he is a good pop artist and his new album is solid.
He writes his own songs now and the lyrics are pretty good.

stop jumping on bandwagons, listen to his album and form your own opinion on the music alone without any social bias.

The other side to that is, anything he wants to get famous, WILL get famous. He has that much influence over the music industry he could train my cat to sing and still get it into the top #5

 

@surj, the reason so many people dislike him is because he can come across as a bit of a big headed dick just because he's been signed. I saw an article where he compared himself to Kurt Cobain, which I think made a lot of people mad. Also, he slags off bands like Metallica and Megadeth for no reason, so why not do it back?


I think nowadays, you've more chance of being famous if people hate you and you go viral than spending years perfecting your art and working your way up. It's just what the world has become with social networking and the internet. Not to mention the post 90's kids who are only interested in the appearance of the artists rather than the talent and originality. Prime example, Nicki Minaj. She has next to no talent, imo, and looks like a complete moron, yet kids admire her and want to look like her.

 

You think someone like him deserves the attention and fame he is getting?

Not to be rude, but you shouldn't be this rude to someone, and post things that you have absolutely no clue about. You're embarrassing yourself by saying he wrote it, and that he deserves it and all that.

Now let's take the legends from the past and compare them to Justin.

Yes, they actually write their songs on their own. They didn't use autotune or anything that changed their voice like Justin Bieber and pretty much all the other famous artists today. They started out without any software that changed their voice, they rose to success without it.

People like you are annoying how you know nothing about the music industry but supports whatever pleases your ears, referring them to legends and whatnot. Anyone can make it into the music industry really, with voice changes anyone can really sing.

Edit: Yes, it's true that now all that takes to get into the music industry for success is looking good on TV, a bit of charisma, how to move/dance and haters. Just a few days ago in fact, I just kept seeing One direction everywhere, so I decided to have a swing at their music. I was amazed at how they had 50M+ views in such a short period of time, I thought they may be good, regardless of all the hate I see against them. So I listen to them, and I just couldn't believe how pathetic their music was. I couldn't believe how it had that many views.

 

A lot of it is image, would One Direction would have been this popular if all the guys were ugly? Most likely not. I am a huge One Direction fan and I understand why a lot of people hate against them. I will admit that all of their songs are very similar and of course they don't write any of them (this is pretty common knowledge for pop music). The only verse I know that they actually wrote was Zayn's verse in "What Makes Your Beautiful". In essence they are just puppets doing what all the adults in backstage are telling them to do but can't do it themselves because they don't have the looks that would attract the fanbase they are targetting. What makes them appeal so much to me though is what their songs are about, which is love, and I think this appeals to the vast majority of their audience.

 

It's just music that caters to the mainstream audience, they are all young, healthy and fairly attractive. End of story.

 

Um... You're crazy if you think any of that you just said is true...

Also, I've done my research and it's yielded every conclusion that and point that I've made.

Edit: I went ahead and did the research. Maybe our pal beiber just didn't want to self-loath or something, but it seems like all of the credit on every track from his newest album was given to a number of different record producers and not one mention of beibs. Essentially your just listening to a collection of songs written by the music industry with a mascot singing the vocals on them.

Not sure if I really believe they wrote any part of it, but it seems like most of the credit goes to Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk, and Savan Kotecha for writing the track "What makes you Beautiful" which are all, not surprisingly, record producers.

Now, even though someone kindly pointed out above, do a little research on any song that isn't gay/mainstream. You'll see that all the credit goes to member(s) of the band. These are real bands, that write their own music.
