    About buying an account

So i was thinking in buying a runescape account and i have like 200m for that. But i`m not sure if i should do it because people might just recover and i waste 200m. What you guys suggest? buying a runescape account or use that cash to train my own? Is there any way that you could buy an account and be sure that the owner will not be able recover it? Thanks

You should buy from a very trusted user, not some newcomer, member, or even a forum addict unless they have legit vouches on selling multiple accounts. If you could afford the stats you want with the 200m then go ahead and get it trained.

It will always be safer training your own account. It can be long and tiring but it is worth it. You created the account, only you know the details and you have the ip created on. I would say skill your account unless you buy a account from a VERY trusted member.

I've bought an account and so far no recoveries (knock on wood) it really just depends on the person, if they really are there just to sell the account because they don't want it anymore, then yeah, they'll do that.

Yes but it is a total risk. The original owner could recover the account a ANYTIME. There are always risks involved in buying accounts, there are a few people here to sell accounts however, many do scam :(

the deal is that i dont have much time to train on my account since i go to college and also have a full time job. when i have some free time i just want to have some fun on runescape like killing bosses or something not just sit there and grind a skill lol.

Pay someone the 200m to train it for you. Theres very little risk of them doing anything bad except maybe dropping some untradeable items, but its a lot better than buying an account, investing countless hours into it, and then having it recovered.

Well just buy from a trusted super trusted user (i'm not super super trusted ) :) , but from someone like video and you know you'll be safe :)
    I've an acc shop:
    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1491464

Else you should better train your acc because remember a very high percentage of accounts gets recoverd back. :)

As always, I recommend Video's Account Shop although he might be out of your price range for the most part. Highly would recommend saving/spending GP as he's a mod, OMM, and a 1K+ donator to Sythe. You can't go wrong with his refund policy either. Other than him, look for high post count, donations, staff member position, and a long list of vouches as well.

No offense to Video, but I wouldn't really trust it unless he's changed his game plan since when I was active in the market. Video finds accounts other people are selling that he thinks are trustworthly, and he buys them and re-sells them. The only problem with this is that you don't get contact with the original owner, and in the case of a lock or other more shady shenanigans, the best Video can do is refund your original payment. You lose all of the hours and GP that were on the account. I'd buy an account from him if it was made by Video, since I know he's got the reputation to trust; however, the fact that he can't do much at all to help you is why it's a risky trade.

True, however hes had all the accounts for over 5 months without any problems, and sold many accounts without any hassle, the buyers themselves should know the risk when buying accounts and he/she automatically accept the terms when they trade, no account can be 100% safe due to the game.

OP: Buy from someone with many vouches and who've sold accounts without any trouble etc, you may have to pay more but id rather have the extra security.

like the r3 guy said he must make sure the accounts are safe so he would keep them for a sale to make them safe plus his a staff member i don't think he would scam if they recovered he would probs payback

Best thing to do if possible is buy from somebody in a public place or get contact details ect so you are more likely not to get scammed but if not I would say do the normal things transfer emails get as much info as possible and buy from someone trusted.

I bought an account from a Sythe user with only 90 posts at the time. It doesn't matter their post count, their join date, etc. It's risky any way you look at it. The account I bought has been fine since April and I highly doubt he'll ever recover the account. If he does, it's my lose.

    What are your current stats?

i would prefer skilling on one account
    more concentrated and fame
but if u r setting up a gold farm or wt, buying accounts from trusted users sounds not bad too
