EoC and Trade Limits

It might not be as changed as once expected.
Though based on what we've heard/seen, more SB items are being put into the game for this reason, so it's a fight against RWT behind the scenes; I doubt anything will be put into place to limit the trade, if for members.

 

I have not heard such rumors but that wouldnt suprise me.

 

Yes, as well the new skills are not as much gear orientated, therefore the output of your combat effort is gonna be changed drastically, meaning people might actually need less money, but as well some people that are not used to changes are just gonna revere to skilling which does require some money, so it could be that the actual money needed in the game would be more/less the same.

I am also pretty sure that Jagex won't repeat the same mistake with free trade, if they did they would gain nothing of that, specially if they actually are trying to attract more players and players come from friends and friends give them start-up money, which wouldn't work with free trade.

I'd say you should worry less about such rumors as they don't really fit into Jagex image.

If you remember the support for getting rid of the trade limit last time we had it and how everyone stayed up and logged in just to be their when the trade limit was lifted it was amazing, Im sure just as people said before that a crap ton of people will elave the game and never look back if this happens.

 

There's been no evidence of that happening. I asked the forums, official forums, just floating it in there, 2 forum mods said no chance of it happening. Aware they aren't developers, but they're probably correct.

Definitely not. I can see some sort of implementation similar to trade limits, but never trade limits again. With the huge update coming, Jagex isn't going to risk adding something they already proved was a failure. If anything, this would be months and months down the line, because ever since I've played RS, Jagex has yet to implement two huge updates at once. I don't see this even being a possibility for them at the moment, but I could definitely see "soulbound" or un-tradable items being added to the game, as you stated earlier in this thread. They'd be better to just crack down on the obvious RWT giants like Dragon Dyce and Fishy, but that's just my opinion.

If they decide to implement a trade balance like they used to have, I understand why. It would entirely ruin the purpose of RWTing, but that's the name of the game. We cheat and they don't like it, it's their choice. I, for one, wouldn't be entirely affected by their decision because I don't do a lot of trades like such. I do hope such a thing doesn't happen, though.

 

It will only slow RWT down, eventually loopholes are found and utilized.

 

That is really bullshit.
No one with real information have mention any limits or anything about free trade disable.
Whatever its only combat/skills stuff and have nothing to do with the way of trade..
Just the rsgp price will rise agian thats all

 

It's speculation until the EoC is released, not to mention Jagex plans to play a heavy role in making sure the economy stabilizes. I highly doubt they would allow something such as this to occur, let alone place a trade limit of sorts to half-ass what could be an existing issue.
