Will there be war?

I remember when they were removing the wilderness the fan sites hosted a war, it was probably the funnest time I've had on RS.

It was like tip.it vs runehq and everyone wore iron and a rune scim.

Has anyone heard of whether or not this will happen again for EoC?

I think with something serious like the EoC, more mature things are in order.. as much as I love a good muck about, the EoC will potentially change Runescape's game-play forever. The more childish people are about it, the less likely Jagex are to actually implement any changes we suggest. Be mature and post constructive ideas, and hopefully the EoC will come out good. Crashing worlds and having "wars" is really not going to help.

 

I doubt it, the good old 'wars' back in the day were exactly that, back in the day. I don't think there is a strong enough community to get that many people together anymore.

 

Yeah i'd be down for something like that! 2006 meets 2012.

 

I'm not talking as a form of protest, its a child's game- idgaf if EoC goes through or not.

But while we still have our nice cozy combat system why not put it to use one last time?
It was more of a 'our website kicks your website's ass' war.

I don't think so, but this would so fun. I would love to do this. But I mean the EOC is not that bad... people need to accept change.

 

Wouldn't testing out the combat on a massive scale be actually helping EoC fine tune the game?

It would be nice if people embrace EoC change. It sucks that RS is changing so much but then again, this game is almost over 10 years old. You cannot expect them to continue developing content when the combat system is seriously imbalanced.

 

i would love to rush it lol just go barrage all of them for shits and gigs.
