    i highlighted your bolded point because that is bullshit. if there is one thing about staff that stands out to me historically its their strive for integrity. yes, people sometimes do slip through the cracks but sythe.org as a body can't be held responsible for those actions of the individual.

    sythe's popularity was established on the success of the growing RWT of RuneScape. rebranding is not an easy task, but efforts have been made obviously with the additions of a bunch of new game markets and other shit. there could be more done but it's not like staff aren't trying. quit your bitching.

    again that is a lie. when i was promoted to moderator i didnt have a single moderator on msn and i wasn't friends with any of them. but i had a presence in off-topic for a long, long while and it was recognized with a promotion. i can think of plenty of other people who fall into my category too. but in some cases, however, yes - people promoted are well known by staff. but it makes sense to rather promote people you know and trust. the mod cocksuckers don't make it too far.

    also you didn't come out of the blue and get promoted. you were actually on staffs radar when i was on staff, and i left in february.

    there is no do not promote list. shut up.

    I'm actively trying to help the site with my past suggestion, and this feedback thread. You honestly can't say that Sythe isn't dying. It's statistically proven if you look at any traffic graph.

    Keep that shit in the spam forum.

    Why does everyone think Sythe can flourish for another 10 years, the fact is it can't. Every business reaches a point where it shuts down and will eventually happen to Sythe as well. The fact that Sythe operated for 7 years solely off of the runescape market is impressive. Take MMO for an example it died within 2 years and had to merge and powerbot which would have never been around without their bot (site died when bot died), I can also name loads of sites which died within a year of opening up.

    Sythe doesn't have the time and money to invest which he did back when Sythe was at its peak, with a dieing game comes dieing forums and no matter what you guys do with community development in the end the only one who can make a a change is Sythe and he knows about the life cycle of a business and the point at which his business is at.

    There are two approaches to a dieing business either you shut it down and save your money, or you invest more to attempt to bring the business back up to its peak which can be far more expensive than just shutting down.

    I've told x339 this as well all these changes you guys are trying to make are just a waste of time because if the staff oppose it and Sythe won't invest in it nothing will change. If you do not enjoy how the forum is run there is no point in making these threads because its been proven in the past these threads don't work.

    x339 only made one good thread worth reading which was the one where he mentioned a few examples of sites which have taken on a good approach to marketing, forum design, etc. If these threads don't show examples all you have is ones word which is hardly worth investing in for Sythe. x339 needs to suck it up and learn nothing will change, all this time he is wasting is adding more to his sunk costs he's already contributed to the forum and you are just digging the same hole he is which leads no where.

    If the staff was so corrupt and everything, you wouldn't have requested to return. You are simply acting out just because you were denied.

    You being denied had nothing to do with dislike from any upper staff, and I'm being 100% honest when I say that. If you wish to know the real reason, feel free to PM an administrator and ask.

    This will probably be my last feedback thread judging by the turn out. But even if it's dying, there are things we can do to improve it and bring activity back.

    No one will tell me. I'm not acting out this way. All of these reasons are why I resigned, and why I started Primody. Then I figured I'd come back here and help with my suggestions, which is what this is.

    No there isn't unless Sythe is willing to invest in advertising which I highly doubt he is the only return you will see with community development is the same few members become more active or the vaders stay longer before they scam.

    It's kind of funny how all members support this so far, all moderators don't support it, and all ex-moderators are split.

    You all need to open your eyes. There are things we can do to make the site more popular, but no one will take the suggestions.
