fucking paypal

I make a paypal today and add my checking account number but it wouldn't activate it right away. So I closed the account and made a new one with the same checking account now they think something sketchy is going on and they completely locked it.

They took 2$ from me and refunded it to paypal but I can't spend it since it's locked. I have to send a photo id to them but I don't have a scanner. And they have to verify my phone number and shit. So I called customer service and they refuse to activate and just guide me through the stuff I already know.

What the fuck do I do, should I just abandon the account with my checking account and debit card on there?

 

Verifying your phone number is easy.. Photo ID you could probably just take a picture of it maybe? I think you could easily unlimit your account if you actually try to follow the steps.

 

They do accept pictures of your ID. You should have just waited a little bit longer for it to work man! Now your bank account is linked (ish) to both accounts its flagged so that it can't be linked to any others without them being limited/locked also. As Silver J said, do what they say, you don't have any other moves.

 

I'm not even 18 yet, I don't have a driver's license or any ID proof other than my learner's permit for driving...

 

Oh yea apparently my phone number isn't real so now they are sending me a code using regular mail. As in mail box mail which will take 4-7 days to reach me.

 

You could always create a new account and try again..

 

You can use a Passport as photo ID if you don't have a Driver's License

 

Or you could not make an account that violates the ToS of Paypal, and put us all at risk of getting charged back.

It'd be risky to trade with a Paypal that's constantly getting limited.

 

You gotta follow the instructions or you won't be able to use PayPal. Use your passport as your photo ID and just wait through it all. It will eventually work. PayPal is a pain but it works.

 

I didn't violate the ToS, I didn't do anything wrong. It says the reason it's limited (which it says now is permanent and can't be appealed) is that the credit card I was using was getting unusual activity.

And this is because I was trying to buy something online but my bank account for some reason kept declining the request. They called me with an automated message saying if I was the person trying to make those purchases or not. So now it says the limitation isn't even appeal able; I'm never using pay pal ever again.

 

You have to be 18 to use paypal. That's where you violated their TOS.

 

They didn't ask anywhere for my age, and you don't have to be 18 as long as you have a bank account.

 

You need to be 18 to make a paypal account, otherwise get your parents to make you a child account. It's already too late. I don't see the reason for you to make a new one because your checkings account didn't verify right away. It would of taken you 3-5 business days.
