Third Bot Nuke

So I heard there was a third bot nuke happening...
Has anyone else heard about it?

If they have, how will the bot nuke affect gold prices in terms of US Dollars and the future of bots in general?

If you haven't heard about a third bot nuke, does anyone think a bot nuke is coming?

 

I heard rumours somewhere that the bottany bay system was being tested in each heavily botted area and when this was done they would release it in full swing. I don't know how much of that is true, just what I've heard. IMO, the more nukes the better, but I'm not a botter.

 

There's always speculation going around of botnukes.

If it does happen, gold will rise, but I'm not sure it's going to be anything drastic.

 

Gold prices will temporarily be affected in the same concept as the anticipation of EoC dwindles down. The only difference between EoC and a Optimus Part 2 would be that instead of gold decreasing, it will increase. Rune Wiki claims that the original Optimus update was to set the stage for this second part, although there haven't been any realistic ETAs released from Jagex staff members.

 

Are you saying that gold prices will rise also from EoC (not drastically)

 

Bot Nuke 3 implies there was a Bot Nuke 2. There was no "Bot Nuke 2". Nothing Jagex has done has ever come close to replicating the original Bot Nuke of 2011. If you do not recall, nearly all bots were down for 1 month+ following the original nuke. They also sued RSBuddy and dismantled their organization.

It is unlikely we will ever see any update have such a widespread impact on bots again.

Evolution of Combat IS the bot nuke.

 

Jagex isn't planning on any more cluster flutterers. Their "new" bot nuke was supposed to be a detection system that auto-bans, but as I had suspected their detection banned a lot of legit accounts by mistake. It's extremely unlikely that the EoC will also unload the updated version of their failed nuke. They definitely shelved the idea, at least for now.

 

Gold prices are supposedly decreasing temporarily because of EoC ever so slightly. You have the correct concept though if you switch the two (decreasing and increasing).

 

Jagex's whole reason for this update is to attract new players, and increase their customer threshold. If it succeeds, having these new players come into Runescape MAY increase the price of gold. Look it at from both sides, even thought the demand for gold would increase theoretically due to new players, those new players would also be pumping gold into the economy, its a two way cycle that nullify each other.

Also, as skills will be faster to train, this may invoke an increased interest in levelling up skills that one had not cared for before, which requires capital (RSGP). Then again, as combat stats (i think) will be trainable to 150, it will once again nullify the above, as gold will be pumped back into the market via combat PvM.

Lots of theories can be derived as to what will happen, however I doubt much will change, in terms of pricing.

 

I remember they vaguely mentioned there being an upcoming "nuke" of sorts but perhaps Botany Bay and EOC is their supposed nuke. Botany Bay banned quite a few auto talkers which may be the nuke itself when they exploded, much like when a nuclear bomb goes off. It seems this has died down now though. The EOC will give bots some down time like the previous nuke did but I doubt it will take them long to get the skilling bots back up, I'd say around a couple of days to maximize the action bar capabilities or go around them and a week or a bit more for combat.

 

Are you saying that these updates will prevent botting because that sounds like that will bring gold prices up while it sounds like EOC will actually bring prices down...

It sounds like EOC will pump gold into the game by attracting new members and additionally the changes made in the update themselves will bring the value of gold down.

A third bot nuke which there is rumor of could bring gold prices back up but no one has any source of that.

Does this sound accurate?

 

Hmm, this isint 3rd bot nuke, i remember only 1 in 2011 when i had a huge goldfarm using vps i had like 15 accounts running
