Is it still possible?

I'm aware that the red portal method of transferring gp/items no longer work but I'm confused as to whether that is only in effect to accounts that were created after this change?

What other working methods are there of transferring gp/items between accounts?

EDIT: There was once an offer for paying like $2 to get your new account members, is that still ongoing or has it stopped?

 

I think the portal method is patched, I think the only way to do it now is by making your account P2P.

 

Membership, a month of playing, or over 50 combat. I'm pretty sure you need one of those to be able to free trade.

 

On the limited accounts, last I heard the F2P world Lumbridge table transfer worked.

 

Just take both accounts into the wild and kill the other / make a giant rat kill the weakest on a non populated world.

Also the $2 still goes on, you have to purchase membership with a credit card though.

 

Pretty sure new accounts can buy their first month of membership for $2

 

you can just go to the fally party room on a less populated world. the drop isnt EVER announced by the bankers and no one is ever there when i have done it.

 

Don't think so, tried this just recently.

 

I've seen people use this method in the form of rune scimitars if recall correctly. Just to save the hassle though, I would buy a membership pin dirt cheap e.g. $2.00 if there was enough wealth existing on the account to begin with.

 

Why do people do this anymore when there's free trade? I don't understand..

 

For the simple fact that if you activate your trial account membership, a trade limit is engaged on that account.

Maybe transferring to a new mule whose level 3 and free trade isn't eligible unless the accounts been played on for a month or some shit, over level 50 cb or a member...

My advice would be to go to the wild like someones suggested.

 

I wouldn't mind paying $2 to get the wealth off but only issues i'm having right now is finding where to go to to purchase it. I tried going to upgrade my account on the account but the option for $2 is not there, its all regular price I see... I hope they didn't just recently remove it :s

I'll try explaining it to you. When free trade first came back, everyone was able to trade anything without any limit, even the f2p players that never were members. Then what happened was that JaGeX made an update and only those who were once members on their account were able to free trade. It didn't matter if you were a player for many years, if you were never members, you were not able to free trade. These players now that were never members had a 25k trade limit placed on them. Players worked around this and found a method where if they were die in the Red Portal, all their wealth were dropped for the person that killed it to pick up. Now, that's patched and no longer works. For now, these players will have wait for another method to arise or make their account members. There is other methods but many aren't well known by people yet.
