new users-vouched/getting vouched

i have been around other forums and recently joined this one and it has come to my attention that many people 'fake vouch' and i think its stupid how people vouch for other people who do free services i offered some free botting a while back when i first joined because i had some free time and a good computer so it could be done i never requested a vouch , a simple thanks sufficed.
with that said my proposition/suggestion is
Suggestion:New users provide proof of lets say the first 10 trades.
no free services and a minimum value of eg;10m
and for things like buying rsgp eg;10-20 vouches of buying gold through safer methods such as player auctions/liberty resort. things that can reduce chargebackers from having a chance at buying gold and than charging back resulting in a lost of someones very hard work.
i honestly don't have an idea why something like has not been implemented. trade will be a little longer of a process but IMO its worth it as it will help this site be safer for trade.
this is just a small idea to the beginning of a bigger even one. suggestions etc also if you don't agree with me tell me why/why not because at this point in time i see nothing wrong with my idea; but ofcourse i could be wrong.​

 

Free services still deserve vouches, trusting someone on your account is enough for a vouch in my opinion. It's hard enough to establish yourself when you first join as it is, never mind having a requirement value on trades to get vouches. Your post was hard to read so I'm hoping I've not misunderstood what you're trying to say, but I think that was the general gist of things?

 

free services can include getting on an account with all lvl 1 stats and getting it to lvl 5 and they can simply put "vouch did some skilling for me"

 

A vouch covers much more than the actual, physical work. The timeliness of the service, the manner of the service provider and the general flow of the service are other factors which people take in to account when they vouch someone. They may well have only levelled a few times, and not done anything substantial to the account, but if the person receiving the service had a bad experience altogether, they're not going to vouch.

 

i agree with you 100% but, have you not realized how much the 'vouch' system is abused.? maybe no limit but atleast some kind of proof requirement for newer members?

 

Vouches can be given whenever a user feels they received a good service. If someone looks through these vouches and deems them rubbish, then so be it, don't trade with that user. Everyone has to start somewhere.

 

how many people do you think go to a vouch thread and dont automatically scroll down to see how many vouches exist rather than reading them honestly it amazes me how someone that is supposed to be so experienced like you, (ive looked through your trades,post's) can be so closed minded about an issue like this one.

 

If you don't take the time to research a user's vouches before you trade with them then it's your fault. I'm not closed minded at all.

 

It's because vouches and trust in general are subjective. I wouldn't trade with you - honestly because I don't see you as trusted. It isn't our jobs to make people read vouches, it's theirs and then when they trade and get scammed it's theirs also because they didn't follow proper procedures. That is how it has always been. 90%+ of all scams can be avoided by doing a few simple things.

I don't support. As Roary said it's hard enough to get established in the beginning.

 

No support, I myself am a new user and member's of Sythe use my service's and if they deem I done a good job I receive a vouch, although it's the quality of vouch's IMO not the number although the number/quality should combine.

 

This shouldn't even be a suggestion. It's stupid and useless.
If you feel like you're gonna get scammed look at their vouches, Quality over quantity.

 

I got my first few vouches offering free-skilling.

Just because someone didn't pay you doesn't mean they didn't trust you with their account.

 

That's exactly true, when I initially started free Questing Kabal came to me multiple times and offered vouches. It doesn't hurt to ask for a vouch, that's the bottom line. If you personally don't feel as though someone whose offering skill training is trust worthy, then consult with someone else. Free vouches made our OMM's who they are, it's essential whether there's a slight margin of error or not.

 

A person gives a vouch if they feel the service provided was satisfactory, if some was satisfied by a free skilling service, they're free to vouch.
