Rs Prime Vs Current state,Where jagex messed up

Hi i am starting this thread to talk about the current state of runescape and the once prime of runescape history. I will just cover some brief points.

Current State:
-Dicing removed
-Crashing economy
-Dying Community
-Cracking down on botting
-Low rsgp rwt prices

Prime State:
-Dicing aloud
-increasing economy
-very lively community
-lots of botting, lots of money/gp being made daily
-high rsgp rwt prices

Okay now with those brief points, I think jagex are idiots for the release of the eoc, I was once an avid runescape player who enjoyed the game and its aspects. The game was booming during its "Prime State." it used to have 300k+ players on daily with a lot of members. I now look at the game and there is literally a shitty community that is dying having like 120k players on during its peak time of the day. If jagex was smart and left dicing,left botting, and left the golden days of runescape how they were during its "Prime Days" the game would be a lot more enjoyable than the current shit state. They would also be making a lot more money from the memberships that were being sold.

So with all that being said, what are your opinions on the topic, prime rs versus current rs and what jagex did wrong.

 

EOC sucks ass and new armors and all that new crap is really lame.

So I say Prime state, 2010 - 2011

 

This is obv a biased thread, rwt dicing and botting don't belong in the prime state.

 

The prime time for RS IMO was back in like 06. Even 2010 was decent when free trade and staking was introduced. Jagex aren't idiots because I guarantee you that this will make them money - otherwise they wouldn't do it.

It's understandable to be pissed off for this update of EoC and all the other shit but honestly it doesn't get you very far. There are no amount of words, hate and anger you can have against Jagex that will make them change their minds however you can adapt. You can look at the positives in this update or sit around being cynical and getting no where. If you don't like it then that is unfortunate and you can take your part away from Jagex (your membership) and quit. Go find another game if you dislike the current one is my main argument and it is a shame that Runescape has changed a lot, in both negative and positive ways but at the end of the day you can accept it or keep rejecting it.

TL;DR: Adapt to the updates or leave the game.

Jagex have done many things wrong however there is NOTHING I can do about it so I won't sit around here dwelling on the bad things

 

Your points are terrible. The "prime time" of RS is subjective and you don't even state when this is in your opinion. Your argument for the positive points of the so called "prime state" are merely the opposite of your negative opinion of RS's current state which is ridiculous. Let me pick this apart. High RSGP RWT prices are subjective also, but they were highest when RS was new, before wildy was taken out and after it was taken out for a bit. At this time however, bots were relatively primitive so there wasn't as you so call "-lots of botting, lots of money/gp being made daily". The increasing economy is a joke also, as growth is the value of Goods & Services produced X the price of it. This can't be measured due to the fact of you not being able to graph the data on an Aggregate Demand + Supply curve to tell the size of economy, you are just assuming its declining. Dicing is also allowed currently, along with lots of other forms of gambling in their prime. If you are going to bandwagon and make a hate thread at least make some decent points man.

 

Runescape hasn't been "prime" since RS Classic.

 

I don't think I need to add anything when the above posters have worked justice already. Everyone's "Golden Days" are different, and game content is definitely not a factor of when it was.

However in regards to the OP, I think that you do have a point in that there will probably be an immediate drop in membership sales, however I think they're more than willing to gamble that at the prospect of creating a better game, with more players in the long run. (Which I suspect will happen eventually)

I don't know anything about EoC, BUT IF THEY INTRODUCED LIFESTEAL, I'd call it a job well done!

EDIT: See, look at this guy above me. He's a jaded 22 year old that probably hasn't played Runescape at all since 2004, and FOR SOME REASON is still posting in a Runescape-related forum. As stated above, the definition of "prime" is so subjective that I wonder why I even posted here.
