I'm really shocked at what is allowed to be sold in the steam section considering the stance this site takes on hacking. Take a look in the steam section and you will find multiple threads where it is obvious that the user is selling hacked accounts such as here http://ww2.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1480359.


I don't know if it's because moderators rarely visit this section or just turn a blind eye on it, look at this :

I am also selling 10 randomly assorted accounts, all with paid games, for only 5.50. That comes out to .55 an account and some of these accounts could have games like Skryim or Call of Duty. I promise that all of my accounts will be VAC clean with no registered email.

This isn't the first time I've seen that in a steam sales thread and this just screams out the method in which these accounts are obtained.


I believe new guidelines should be put into place which require you to provide ownership in some way, I'm no steam expert.

 

I can't believe people would actually buy these accounts though..
I agree that the Steam section should be monitored more as I have seen plenty of these threads floating around.

 

Banned him. Selling hacked accounts is never allowed on Sythe. Thank you for bringing this user to our attention.

 

Aren't all of these accounts hacked though? How else would people find accounts that haven't been logged in for 3-4 years with $100+ worth of games and sell them for $2-5.

 

Some might be their old accounts and others buy directly from a supplier but the majority are.

 

I went through and banned the clear offenders in that section. I also posted a sticky specifically warning people about trading hacked accounts.

 

It's hard to prove that the accounts are hacked and we need proof to ban them :/. However Pockets seems to have handled it
