Will eoc ruin idung??????????

Hey guys what do you think will happen to combat bots after eoc?
Do you think they will ever be able to adjust because the new interface seems pretty complicated.

 

yessir i think every combat bot is now in the same stages as it was when the first nuke came out, completely broken.

 

There will be a week or so of most bots not working, but they will be re-programmed and adapt as usual.

 

Kiko will probably rewrite it from scratch. Will be better than ever combined with the increased xp rates.

 

Shouldn't be too difficult at all.

 

Dungeoneering is faster, but Kiko will need to deal with a lot of new changes. Powerbot itself will need to get an improved combat handler, and the setup for every person's combat depends on his binds so Kiko will have to tweak it for dungeoneering. If you have a spear and hex bind, it's now incredibly more different than if you have a battleaxe and mage bind.

I anticipate iDung will be down for a week or two. The changes are pretty significant as far as what a bot has to do.

 

So should it's prolly a good idea to wait till after eoc has simmered over to renew/buy new scripts? haha

 

I would say expect up to a month or longer of combat bot downtime.
And at least a week of general bot downtime, so many things are being changed such as the magic tab etc.

 

I doubt it'll be 2 weeks. I've heard from a few sites saying that it might take a couple of months when EoC and HTML5 is released. Not sure how accurate that is since I know nothing at all about coding.

 

I'm pretty sure that EOC won't come out when HTML5 is released. We've heard little about HTML5 and I an imagine it would take a lot longer than EOC would.

 

Even this is pretty optimistic at best.

 

Wait a month before you go buying new scripts.

 

Be down for a while until script writers can adjust to the new interface. They will always find a way, it's certainly not too complicated. But yes, idung will be down for a while.

 

dat EoC. fuck it. won't even bother botting tbh.

 

The EoC will not only affect iDung but other combat scripts as well. Anyway other skill-scripts might work in just a matter of time of being re-coded.

 

Not to mention Kiko is a solo developer from my understanding, who will have to wait on Powerbot to sort things out with their combat handler as you stated above. Either way, I hope we receive compensation for the off-time as our scripts only last 99 days. That's the reoccurring issue in my mind anyway, skill based bots that are non-combat oriented shouldn't be more than a week as it's simply readjusting the mouse algorithms to adequately click the new widgets.

 

Tbh tho , he should just work on making another idung by just using the beta 0_o

 

Beta is the main word here.
It's already changed so much from first release that he would have had to change anything he had coded.
Also, he has to wait for Powerbot to update first.

 

It will be down for more than a week likely but I'm sure he will release another update to fix it. I wonder how much dung will change. Do prayers still not protect you from all the dmg?

 

NO the lvl 40ish protct prayers we have right now will protect 50% damage even in dung. They say there might be something that will boost that or maybe they make higher level prayers that are more effective.
