Windows 8 and Gaming

Well im getting my new computer next month and i've been told it will play vertualy any game on the highest spec's, but now im worrying about Windows 8. I've been told and read that it screws over gaming, and im wondering what other peoples experiences with it are, and wether i should downgrade it to Windows 7.

 

I have windows 8 and I don't notice anything wrong with it. Once you get use to 8 you'll prefer it over 7. You just need to get used to it

 

I've seen some windows 8 vs 7 videos and you'll actually get higher fps in games using windows 8. Only bad thing i've heard is that it lacks support for some drivers.

 

Thanks, i just cant wait to get my new pc. My old one barely played wow, i was averaging 8fps-12fps xD... lets just say it was hard healing as i was my main guild healer xD

 

Only legacy drivers for old cards. It has the entire driver set of Windows 7 plus new drivers. If Windows 7 ran it, Windows 8 will run it too.

 

the windows 8 tablet is flawless, I have to really hand to them anybody else seen or used?

 

I've been in touch with windows 8 severall times only thing is it crashes for me to much.

 

You should get a win 7 for sure 8 sucks as biatch,,,

 

Only lacks support for the time being. I'm sure they will work on that.
