Which OS to use + what's up with bottingvps?

Hi guys, I want to buy time on a VPS (for botting obviously) and was wondering which OS is recommended (and does it matter which I choose at all)? I was thinking about using Ubuntu 12.04. Also, what control panel do I need/do I need one at all(ex. Kloxo, Webadmin)?

Also, what happened to bottingvps.com? I was about to buy a package yesterday from them, and the site went down when I tried to access them again. Any news? Will they be back, or what?

I currently use bottingvps for my botfarm and contact them regularly via skype. Recently their website (not the VPS') has been getting DDOS's by someone.

I'd highly suggest them if you know nothing about botting or goldfarming (like I didn't) just be prepared to pay a pretty hefty price for it.

Linux is a great OS, but honestly it doesn't matter, just the specs of the VPS. (Which you only need about 800mb RAM to run a Powerbot account full time on without lag.)

 

Thanks for the replies guys. But I thought it does matter what OS is used in terms of updates being pushed to the clients - in general - doesn't windows get updates earlier than linux (thus less time not botting)?

 

Really? I thought 512 MB is enough for 1 bot?
