I have just started to use Photoshop and learn the basics, i will be posting my work as i progress here for the community to comment on and look at, i will
accept all forms of criticism as long as it is not slating me too hard.

Work on composition & your backgrounds. They are too bland and create no focus. Don't get me wrong I understand they are your first works, just keep practicing mate

 

Yeah im working on a new signature now it's appealing to my eye i will see what you guy's think of it. Thanks for the comments.

 

Was working on this as you can tell, i got frustrated while working on the text but will give it another shot later on.

 

I know it's crap, but i feel i am getting better as an amateur.

 

Wow, your work is really impressive for a beginner! Great job so far, if I can suggest a few things: using blending modes for text as you have sometimes adds to a piece, but a lot of the time it doesn't. If you're looking to make tag art, focus on using different effects and layer modes to blend a focal (a render aka a man, object, etc) with a background. On banners: play around with different text modes, but don't mix and match, as normally keeping a uniform theme is best. Otherwise the two different text styles conflict and the image looks to be all over the place.

So far you're doing awesome , look forward to seeing more of your work.

Not bad signature for a beginner, the only thing I don't like is the font and texture you use for your main text.

Pretty basic, but good work nonetheless

 

work on

-colours
-composition
-flow

get those three things down in one sig and you'll see a huge improvement


also, start reading loads of tutorials and gather information. learn effects from different tutorials and blend them together while sticking to the three points and you will produce a nice, original tag.

 

also read text theory and stop adding borders to stuff
