Do the barbarian training up by the whirlpool to get access to me as well as fairy tail quests 1 2 and 3 to use the fairy teleport rings. This will let you have easy access to them and use a crush weapon such as a chaotic maul and use high Mage def armour

For the record those are all secondary tasks that will enable you to train more efficiently. Bursting/barraging rock lobsters are much faster than water fiends. However, they cost more than water fiends hands down.

 

He did say strength experience, and almost no body melees rock lobsters that is why I suggested water fiends in kuradels dungeon.

But yes if you are solely looking to collect charms, bursting rock lobs is your best bet but for strength experience and charms, water fiends.

You should look into I think it's called "familiarism"?? You get double the charms for 40 minutes I believe

 

Personally i always go to rock lobs good mage xp too

 

Waterfiends or rock lobsters for sure, waterfiends are good strength xp too

Try going to armoured zombies. 70-100k xp/h
+ very decent blue charm drop rate

 

Stick to slayer, will help you out in the long run.

 

Yeah, only go there if you have it rock a slayer task. As Abarta said unless there is an event where you absolutely NEED charms like the bxp for example, just stick with slayer. You'll max all your combat stats through slayer pretty much.

 

Great point, I forgot to mention that I was specifically referring to charms as the conversation began to focus on XP/hr. Slayer is always an alternative if you decide to switch things around and I also agree it will benefit you in the long run if you do decide to veer away from water fiends.

 

Waterfiends is the best in my opinion, if strength isnt an option you can always barrage rock lobsters. waterfiends can range from 600 charms per hour, rock lobs are about 1-300 charms per hour. I think

Slaying is the BEST. Although It might not be ideal for charms/exp it's something you eventually will end up doing.

All of the above are great for charms and are pretty common from slayer masters.

 

Waterfiend is 60-80kexp/hr.

@OP: i advise not doing waterfiends, your levels are definitely not high enough. As people have already suggested, i think slayer is your best option in the long term.

 

His states are a bit low to do waterfiends, but its definitely do-able.
I've seen level 100 pures at water fiends.

With some decent equipment, 75+ combat stats (not to mention 99mage for the mage defense, and 99 range for the range armor,) one can do waterfiends.

And besides, a few days at water fiends, he will level up all his stats to about 80-85+.

 

Waterfiends if you really want charms, do Fairy Tale Pt. 2 at least (preferably Pt. 3 so you don't need staff to teleport) and the fairy ring code BJQ (I think) takes you directly to them. You can sometimes get 100 charms/hr at them, and decent XP also.

But honestly, I would stick with slayer, as you get a lot of charms, a lot of XP and level up one of the hardest skills in the game.
