    Nope, it doesn't do much of anything really. A prompt comes and goes within a second and that's all.

    Runescape runs via web browser and that's the only thing I'm aware of that uses Java, I'm terribly unfamiliar with Java so hopefully that somewhat addresses your answer. Java is installed as a ".exe" file though. EDIT: When I download the "rsbot.jar" and click it, "C:\Users\Roman\Downloads\RSBt-4040.jar" appears in a separate box along with "Application not found" underneath in the same box. Java doesn't seem to even interact with the file.

    If you can't find a way to use Powerbot with windows 8, try using a virtual machine.

    That's most likely going to be my alternative, but I'm curious to see if anyone else has any suggestions as I'd rather not have to use VM.
