RiD 2.0 beta is now released to the public, starting with the re-release of RiDiverse as the first bot available, with the others following shortly after they pass the testing phase. Currently every EoC bot has been re-released except for Agility and MTA.

Now this is not simply a thread to try and emptily advertise the bots, I am posting this because any bot that is still running the beta (meaning it says free next to it in the GUI) is free to use.

Work is still underway on the latest generation of RiD bots, however most of that work is now complete and I am pleased to announce the first of our bots has now been updated to the RiD 2.0 framework - RiDiverse, a versatile bot that can train many skills.

RiD 2.0 has involved a large update to the way our bots interact with RuneScape, the idea being to harden against any long term statistical analysis. That means bringing other areas of the bot up to the same standard as the mouse movements which are able to mimic human activity to the point it is indistinguishable. Now the same applies to rhythmic behaviours, click coordination and other areas too, which are hard for Jagex to observe but still important in accurately re-creating human activity. You may not be able to observe these differences, aside from an occasional 'human error' but this took up about 60% of the update. Thanks everyone who took time to gather and submit data on their activity!

One of the more obvious changes in RiD 2.0 is the new [URL="http://www.robotzindisguise.com/forum/?pageid=chat"]Chat Center[/URL]!
This allows you to read your RuneScape chatbox and pms while botting, and not only that, but your bot will relay anything you type over to RuneScape. You can send pms, chat away and make new friends... all without being at the keyboard!

In conjunction with the chat center, I have setup an alert system - for those of you who like to 'babysit' when they bot. What this does is make it really easy for you to monitor what's going on around your bot. You don't even have to watch your screen, the bot will email you (or sound an alert depending on which options you selected) when anything happens, and you can define what kind of events require your attention. 
The available options are: 
Mod Only - which will notify you only when a moderator is speaking to you (via pm or chat).
Bot Chat - will alert you to any botting related chat, in case you want to be there to reply if someone asks you if you are a bot, etc.
Chat mentioning your name - simple as that really, so you can catch the comments that are directed at you specifically.
PMs only - will alert you to new private messages from friends.
All - will alert you to every new pm and comment in chat!

There is more potential for the chat center, and I'll work on it some more as I finish off RiD 2.0

Optimization was another key part of the update. You may notice much less lag already, and the framework is in place for me to further optimize the bots. I will be working on that more as I finish off 2.0 and expect to have no slow-down from lag at all, until your ping hits 500+ (which is very rare, even if you are connecting all the way from Australia!).

For now, it's still very much a work in progress. It is in a beta state at the moment, and may not work for particular training methods (in which case let me know) - but for those of you who wanted to be botting with RiD over double XP weekend, I decided to roll this out now! Along with one week of free botting, and there will be a second week of free botting later down the line once all the other bots are back online too!

The free botting works like this:

1. ANY user can take advantage of this opportunity, not just paid users.

2. It is not a credit giveaway to everyone; bots in beta will simply be free to use until each bot leaves beta.

3. Free botted time with premium bots DOES count towards your premium hours counter, including the 20 premium hours botted required to become a RiD Member; see Ranking System here

4. The free botting has started since the first bot was released with 2.0 technology (End of October). Each bot will remain free until it leaves beta with the exception of Cooking, Construction, and Power Miner which are always free.

5. The botting is free, no strings attached, no required payments/donations/credit/etc. If you just want to use it while it's free, and only while it's free, then that's up to you.

I'm sharing this with you because I can't imagine why someone would not be interested in some free botting using premium bots.

Great! I love this bot, Lol and two free weeks? Can't get much better than that. If anyone is looking for a good bot atm, I'd suggest taking everything free you can from RiD. It's a fantastic bot, but does get pricey.

 

Just an update:

RiD has finished everything but one last bit of code. After that all he has to do is compile it all, and hope no compiling errors show up (he said getting errors is unlikely). Once the compiling gets finished all he has to do is upload it and BOOM! The 1st week of free botting begins, and RiDiverse will be released. He *hopes* to push another 2-3 other bots tonight if he can, but there's no promise.

Updated the OP! RiD 2.0 is officially launched and online! The first week of free botting begins! The only bot currently available at this moment is RiDiverse, capable of training fletching, herblore, magic, smithing, crafting, and cooking; all from a bank chest!

Do you think RiD will ever be compatible with mac?

 

Some of the key features he uses are not available on Mac OS X (his original MTA was compatible iirc), so it's unlikely there will ever be direct support.

NOTE: There are very minor kinks at the moment, nothing dangerous, but RiD is working on fixing as many of those as he can tonight, so feedback is essential!

 

RiD updated and fixed most of the common bugs. Remember, there's still a bit less than a week of free botting left! Take advantage of it while you can!

Can you explain to me how the TinyBot operating system is not illegal warez distribution? As far as I can tell without breaking the law and downloading it, it's just a customized version of Windows XP, which is software that is still copyright by Microsoft.
