Halo 4 - Epic/Fail?

I have very high hopes for this game, I loved halo 3 that was and still is one of my favorite games of all times. I feel that the vision for halo may have been lost with the new company producing it. I really hope it lives up to Halo 3, and is not another ODST.

 

I just wished it had the 1-50 leveling system. No matter how old the game is or how much you play, it never gets boring with the that leveling system. The leveling system that they had in Halo Reach took no skill other than just pure grinding and so much time playing. I also hated how you can team up with such noobs and not people in your league like when the 1-50 leveling systems were alive. It's the only thing I ask of the game. The game is great and all but just needs that leveling system back.

 

I much preferred the 1-50 system that we had in Halo 2. It was much more difficult to level up and I really did like that.

 

Agreed. I remember I would be amazed when I seen level 30s in the lobby I thought they were gods lol. I was young. I never got bored playing I was so addicted to getting my level up aha.

to me the game looks awesome 9/10, its because I don't like playing multi player on HALO i only like playing through the campaign; but im sure the multi player is also good.

 

One does not simply ignore multiplayer though..

 

Haha, I got to a 36 in Team Slayer without cheating, I was being bridged host to prevent being standby'd or booted/modded. I don't classify that as cheating it was more or less at that level either you did what I did, or you were modded/standby'd. I miss actually enjoying halo day after day. Now it's like I get the feel to play it, play a few games and I am bored of it. Halo 2 will forever, imo, be the best halo overall (I didn't play H1)

 

Hopefully the custom games are awesome still, that was the best part about halo and the fact they actually implemented them on live servers. I remember trying to do the recon challenge on halo 3 jumping on fences and shit, wasted so much time doing it and still found it enjoyable.

 

Am I the only person who is playing Halo 4 for the story?

 

i would sooo pay the $60 for a game if they took everything from halo 3 like the rank system no armor abilities and all that shit and just made all new maps with the same play style as halo 3 was and just slap a halo 4 sticker on it and call it a day. People would still buy it am i right??

 

People want to see change and something innovative, I think 343i have tried their best to take off from something sucky as Reach (we all know Reach is the low point of all the Halos...)

 

I'm not looking forward to those loadout classes. That's why reach was shitty imo, the loadout classes didn't add depth or strategy, it implemented assholes who do nothing but armorlock all the fuckin time..

Is it just me or does the sniper take up way too much screen?

 

God I can't wait to get Halo 4, I don't have the money to buy it today. Damn.

 

Totally agree, maybe it will be changed/patched at later date with community feedback?

 

picked it up today will most likely play tomorrow after the bulk of my assignments is done.
