Laptop's Feedback for staff

-Ryan - You've been fine for the last few months, spam reports get done, the RS section is looking more or less clean. I get the odd post off you here and there which I don't particularly like. But 97% of the time you're fine.

cosrob97 - It's nice to see you go back on the staff dude, regardless of what some people say I think you do what you do very well. People call you arrogant and stuff but I never see you be arrogant, or I just don't notice it.

malakadang - You said you wouldn't be around much until your exams are all done, in which case I hope to see you lots more after your exams are done. Good luck on them.

Pockets - Same as Tmoe, I haven't seen you much, though I know you're VERY busy in real life. I've noticed one or two people are somewhat pushing you to resign due to being inactive - Don't let other people decide your position for you, it's your choice if you want to resign or not, not theirs.

Shoop - Like I said on your feedback thread, I don't see you really posting in the community much at all. The only posts you seem to make are "answered" or "closed", stuff like that where you're just closing threads. It'd be nice to see you start making a few posts in General/Off Topic, or even the SF if you wanted to.

Superman - You're less active than you were before. I see you decided to take on the Graphics section after Dial resigned. I look forward to see what you can do with it.

Tmoe - I haven't seen you much lately, but there's personal issues for that. I'm afraid I don't have a lot to say about you this time round, aside from I hope everything gets better for you. Read Pockets' feedback too, the end part mainly.

video - I think you resemble Corey a lot, in terms of you take your role very seriously and know the site/staff inside out, but you know how to have fun and be chilled at the same time. I also think you'll make a fantastic Global someday.

Wulfspade1 - Seen you lots lately, you're probably one of the most community involved staff at the moment, along with n4n0. I can't think of anything to say other than keep it up, and make more competitions.

yaroow - Your promotion was one of the most impressive I've seen in the last few months, you seemed to jump right into mod when you were promoted. There's nothing else to say because you're doing everything perfectly already. Hope you stick around for a long time.


Blupig - Well congrats on that 'life achievement' the other day xD. Sythewise you've been somewhat active. Your programming is mastery which I doubt many could compete with on here. Hopefully you'll have more time for Sythe over Christmas.

Clashfan - Your activity shoots up and down, at the moment it's on the rise. Some people would say you're an inactive Global, but honestly people like you aren't exactly everywhere. You've been around for a long time and have a lot of experience and advice to offer other staff on here. That's pretty much one of the main reasons why I think you should stay on the staff.

Corey - I'll admit it was really nice seeing you return to the staff, but you haven't been able to be as active as you normally are I think you overwork yourself sometimes too. Otherwise you're always very professional and know just about everything and what to do and what not to do.

djweasel - As ever, you've been great man. How you manage to do everything you do from an iPhone is beyond me . The only thing I can think of for you is to try and get your own proper computer when you can.

Frenzy - A lot of people have been saying they were surprised with your Global promotion, I'll admit, I was too. Though despite what people say you can have a very good opinion or make good judgement on something when you want to. I think you'll make a good Global as time goes on.

MohtasaUnique - You've been doing good as a Global. Though it could just be me or you've established some sort of 'ego' the past week or so. You also seem to be purposely ignoring some of my posts, like in your latest suggestions thread, for example you quoted people's post to reply but purposely left mine out more than once not that I'm complaining though. I have the strange feeling you ignore me (or give off the impression that you ignore me) because of the stuff that happened with Dial, if it was that, honestly it was nothing to do with you dude. If it wasn't and this is all just some big coincidence, then just disregard this.

SuF - I'll be honest, you are one fucking hilarious guy. You make the funniest posts sometimes, and your contribution level is extremely high right now. Your activity's somewhat gone down a bit the last few weeks, but like you said you have school and stuff. Even though, you're still one of the more active Globals on here. Keep it up man.


FireZ - You always have a very good idea of what you're doing on here. A lot of people complain about your attitude a lot of the time, but to be completely honest your attitude doesn't bother me one bit, if anything I find your posts entertaining to read at times. Your activity on Sythe and MSN have gone up too these past few weeks, which is great. You're always a source of useful information/advice too on MSN whenever I talk to you.

Govind - I haven't seen you post much, though a lot of your work is behind the scenes mainly. It's great to see you took on reviewing donation perk change requests in the donation centre along with n4n0. Nice to see Matthew finally roll it out.

Matthew - Well done on managing to get the donation centre rolled out for more administrators to use. So far I've only seen Govind and Ryan (n4n0) using it, I'm not sure if all the admins can use it now, or if it's just you three. Either way it's really good to see perk requests are going to be reviewed a lot quicker now.

n4n0 - I think everyone saw your administrator promotion coming someday, you've if anything been more active since you were promoted to the top. I can imagine your face when it happened, even though you knew about it in advance Like with Govind, well done on requesting admin access to the donation centre, hopefully stuff will get approved more quicker now. As for something to improve on - what about being online more on your public MSN? I know you said you couldn't always do it as you had to Teamview onto another computer or something, though. Having 2 MSN's open at the same time is possible, I'm assuming you've looked at MSN Plus?

Sythe - The site performance has really been 95% perfect the past few months. It would be nice if we could have an update on the vB4 upgrade sometime soon. It'd also be nice to see you post more around the site, I'll admit your posts in the SF are always strangely hilarious to read. Like with Verts and Blupig, hopefully we'll see more of you over Christmas.

Verts - You do tons for the site, but you're not as active as you were some months back if you remember. I'm assuming work and such is keeping you super busy, hopefully you'll have some free time over Christmas for Sythe.

To the staff who were involved - I actually have no idea who exactly was involved in recent thing about me on here I spoke to FireZ about. I just wanted to say to those that did for thanks for being so thoughtful.

 

I was quite relieved to see that this was not an invitation for people to leave feedback for you Laptop. Thanks for the feedback as always, interesting comparison to Corey

@Laptop, I did purposefully ignore your reply to my suggestion thread, not because you posted it, but because it was already posted, and I'd already reasoned with the user who posted pretty much the exact same thing you did. Therefore, I found it redundant to post again. If I had elected to reply, it simply would have been your message, quoted; the user's message who posted before you, quoted; and my response to said user, quoted with the message "read above" after the quotes. It didn't seem worth the time.


Secondly, while it's reasonable to expect I've grown tired of you due to your self-involvement of the third episode regarding the demotion of a moderator, it's not true. I recognize it has absolutely nothing to do with me, and honestly I didn't care why Dialatic resigned. He's a grown man, he can take care of himself, he doesn't need my pity. Nor should he want it. I can't help but think that your evaluation on my souring ego is directly influenced by a few recent events regarding administration confronting you personally on some matters, coupled with my jibes at your less-than-desirable tendencies to involve yourself in staff affairs. The former has nothing to do with me, the latter was simply Spam Forum banter.


Your honest feedback is highly appreciated, however, thanks for taking the time to submit your honest evaluation.

I'm all for staff feedback, but i'm slightly confused here...

I'm not a regular poster, but didn't Laptop get a staff post within the last month or so, and now doesn't?

Now assuming I'm not mistaken...

What gives someone who got a staff post and lost it all within a couple of months, the right to comment on other staff members, and criticize them on issues that the OP may have been removed for? Be it self requested or otherwise.

Every member of Sythe has the right to comment on its staff, but this seems quite hypocritical.

 

He got promoted and demoted like 4 months ago.

Anyone's allowed to give feedback, there's no reason a recently-demoted staff member shouldn't be allowed to.

Why did Laptop get demoted?

 

Laptop got promoted 8 months ago, had a good run, fucked up and got demoted 6 months ago for trust related issues.
I got mod a while later and after 2 months I also fucked up and got demoted for trust related issues that laptop was involved in.
That's it. Both of us are pretty much over it by now.

 

Being kicked off of staff doesn't strip a person of all skills of observation... It may discredit anything you ever say again concerning staff affairs, but if the OP is fine with that, then he has every right to continue to make staff evaluation threads

 

Exactly why you shouldn't be a moderator. You don't even know what's wrong with that, don't you? Real mature. You're what's wrong with Sythe.

 

He has a right to an opinion. This is the feedback thread after all. But we all care deeply from a comment from such a long standing, active, member such as yourself

 

Thank you laptop for the evaluation, but as there are several little arguments breaking out and digressing from the main subject, I'm locking this.

 

I appreciate the feedback Laptop and I am working on that.
